We rented an 8 person express van last week. We were picked up at the airport promptly. When we got to AVR there was a little bit of a wait to get our van but nothing to awful about 35min.(Seemed to be short staffed that day) The van was good on gas and had plenty of space. Return was easy since we had 8 of us with luggage they returned us to airport in the van, as to not transport our luggage to a shuttle. Thank goodness!!!! Our Driver to the airport was delightful an older man from Hawaii.
Check in was disorganized and excessively slow.
After calling several car rental places - finding AVR was the best ever - rented on line - we went to Gillespie Street office (Las Vegas, NV) and found a 'non-traditional car rental office' -- the fact that many others were waiting already set us at ease. The friendliness of staff was wonderful and most of all their professional interaction was so commendable! The process was detailed, and reassuring! and icing on the cake - when we returned van...she asked how everything was! We will return!

I rented in the past with always a great experience including this last time. The vehicle was less than desirable compared to previous rentals but nothing to complain about. People are great and always recommend AVR to family and friends.
