This car rental company and petsonnel are in a constant struggle with the truth. This company takes advantage of the elderly by charging more than double their car rental quote.
I made the mistake of not having my insurance with me, but the way that thw situation was handle was some of the worst customer service I've ever had. She was rude and honestly seemed to not care if we rented a car, which is pretty surprising since I was in walking distance to another rental company.
The car seats were very dirty. There was only one person helping to check in people - there was only one person in front of us but it was one hour before we were out of there. Our friends rented from ACO the day before - so warned us that we needed actual paperwork to show we were insured - the car insurance card was not enough - nor was the emialed declaration copy good enough for them. They have NO printer or NO fax machine to use - so we had to go to a business center to get it copied off.
THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE AND WE WALKED OUT WITHOUT RENTING FROM THEIS TERRIBLE COMPANY
Very pleased with the service overall
1. ACO does not make routine loops to Airport (other good companies did)
2. Insurance of $28 per day is pushed if you don't have PAPER copy of proof of insurance (from a limited amount of companies) No AAA?
3. Paper copy in 2016? Really? Don't accept PDF on phone and refuse to service customer by helping them print it out. Can you say BAD customer service?
4. I am not picky, but car was unwashed as well as not filled up.
5. The only positive is that the drivers were very polite and helpful
Terrible
Never again, and I plan to let all my friends know what a POS this company is.
Unfortunately, ACO deals in aggressive tactics to make sure you cannot waive their "optional" insurance coverage. To waive the insurance, you must have a printed copy of your policy that shows full coverage and collision (who in their right mind carries this on vacation) and submit a $600 deposit. They entice you by providing the lowest rates but then buries this detail in the fine print. The building itself is run down and the staff is simply clueless when it comes to customer service.
