some of the questions are not so applicable as I did not pick or return during office hours so the vehicle was left at airport parking for me. However the process was very smooth and Luis, who I interacted with, was professional and courteous

I picked up the vehicle after hours. They provided detailed info on where to pick it up and how. Very smooth. Good value, nice vehicle.
The car was a bit run-down (older model, lots of scratches) and the Location is not so desirable (airport shuttle to Carl's shuttle to get there), but the price was fantastic and the service was great. Also, since I had an early morning departure, they let me just park the car at the airport, rather than returning it to their site, which made things VERY easy. If you're looking for a perfectly adequate van at a great price, I'd definitely recommend them
Carl's Van Rental in Tampa was an extremely smooth experience compared to most car rental agencies. They didn't try to upsell, they were flexible and had everything ready to go. My only advice is for prospective renters to be sure to read their policies so you can also have a seamless experience (e.g. calling ahead to ensure shuttle pick-up). Thanks!
The only issue I had was that the website let me rent a pick up truck; they weren't available at this location

This was a very smooth and wonderful experience. I was quite worried at first about doing everything on-line, and not "seeing" a real person. But the rental went smoothly and the van was nearly brand new and 100% clean. I can HIGHLY recommend renting with Carl's. They will be my first choice for future rentals.
