This was, without question, the worst car rental experience of my life. For starters, the rental office is about a 15 min shuttle ride from the airport. Despite this, they only have 1 shuttle running at all times. Therefore, if you miss the shuttle from the airport like I did, you have to wait 30 mins for the next one. When you get to the rental office, there is only ONE guy working the desk. A desk that seats probably 50 people. The guy was slow as molasses and clearly had no supervisor on site
I reserved a car to be picked up after 10 PM, I received a call from ACO while I was on a layover at Charlotte Airport telling me that if i couldnt get there before 10, that there would be an extra charge of $25 so the office person would stay late. As there was nothing I could do at the time to make the airline change landing times, I reserved a car from Rentmax that cost me more but with no hassles. I then cancelled my reservation with ACO. I will never rent from ACO again.
The GPS was terrible, but everything else was as expected.
Was told my own insurance wasn't accepted and that I'd have to pay a high daily rate for insurance. Also, van driver, who was very pleasant, spoke no English, which doesn't make for a great welcome to Orlando. Staff member on arrival was surly, staff member on return was great.
Apart of a problem with the wipers on the car, everything else was good. I am satisfied with the overall experience.
Worst rental car experience I have ever had. Two hours for pickup. Insisted on a printed version of insurance that showed collision and comprehensive coverage but wouldn't accept the insurance card or a call from Geico itself to prove coverage. They had no fax or internet connection to print out the insurance binder that Geico sent to me on the spot when I called. Had to find a library 2.5 hours later that printed it. Location was 4 miles from MCO so I was stuck. Avoid them at all costs!
Waited almost an hour for a pick up from MCO. Was sandbagged by your restrictive insurance policies. Was told you had Sun Pass for extra fee but triggered violation at each toll. Extra fee is BS. Waited a long time to for return ride to the airport. Experienced other disgruntled customers complaining about similar issues. Good price but off airport location is not worth the hassle let alone several other inconveniences, Gas at nearby locations is sky high gouge. Never again!
I had to buy there insurance because they do not accept Met Life Insurance according to the agent at the time
The absolute worst car rental company ever. There was only 1 employee and that girl was very uncooperatively cold hartted. I always elect to use my own insurance usually and this time she said i have to have the full print out from my insurance and my card alone is not acceptable. This is the slimiest scam rate increase ever. anyways that turned into a big waste of time and ended up calling enterprise direct and ended up finding same car for 20 dollars less.
a vending machine in the Miami location would be nice sometimes after a long travel a quick drink or snack would be nice and make the wait pleasurable!
