AVR provides great rates for the type of vehicles they rent (Dodge Caravan). Don't expect full featured vans...example, no back-up camera. Do not pre-pay for gas unless you plan to take very long drives or have the vehicle for at least 5 days. The gas-economy feature is good if you want to save on fuel burn. If in SFO only rent if you have the time to be picked up and dropped off at the Air Train. It's a bit inconvenient. Drop off before 6am for a $25 fee and fund your own ride to the airport

We had a very bad experience with the vehicle. Atleast happy that the agency have given us some discount for the trauma we went through.
AVR is always wonderful to work with! My only suggestion would be to speed up their check out and check in process. But they are always so friendly, kind, funny!! We will choose them time and again!
After 7 phone calls, 3 specifically to try to reach one of the managers, i am dissatisfied with the customers service & condition of vehicle. Van had a terrible front end shake and pulled hard to the left, shook passengers unpleasantly!; chip in the windshield as well as it was pitted and difficult to see in sunshine. No answer/No response from any of the 3 managers. Staff was indifferent also to our dissatisfaction and uncomfortable 2 week vacation use of vehicle!!
Was charged for more gas than the van required was lied to about amount can would hold. They forgot and charged me twice for gas the prepaid amount was double the amount it took. I believe they must receive kick backs when they cheat people. The air in a supposedly new van didn't work in the rear so my passengers had to ride 8 hours with no air, I will never use avr again and will let everyone I know see how they cheat you.
I requested an 8 passenger van due to a liability policy with our company, which only allows for up to 8 passengers. AVR gave us an 11 passenger van with a bench taken out, which was still in violation of what I was allowed to use, but they would not replace it. Also, the low tire pressure light was on the entire time we had the vehicle, despite the fact that the tires were full. Otherwise the vehicle drove fine and had good mileage, but wasn't really a great value for the price.
I really like the service I get from the front office personnel at AVR San Jose. very professional and courteous.
