The pick up from the airport was quick and the transaction at the office good. There was some delay in getting all of the pieces for the beach set but we were soon on our way. The Ford Escape was older but suited our needs perfectly. AC was cold, back seat roomy, and got us where we wanted to go.

We made reservations on line several weeks prior to our trip to St Maarten. Upon arrival at airport we checked in and were directed to van for transport to main office. We waited while a couple filled out paperwork beginning their rental process. Once at main office I was given forms to fill out providing same information I had already supplied on line. Meanwhile couple that inquired about rental upon arrival at airport was taken care of and on their way while I continued with forms. Backwards!!

Empress is always reliable and courteous. We reseved an economy car and got one that had seen bette days. We had problems with the car when it would not start seceral times. Empress did come rigt out and try to check the battery when we called. It turned out to be a related problem with a cable connection that reoccured multiple times during the following fie days after we first reported it. At that point we knew a work around to get the car going so we just did that.

It's always a pleasure to rent from Empress. The staff is friendly and competent. Once we had a problem with a car late in the evening, and they came right out to our hotel with a replacement car. Excellent service.
