I rented the car online with a 10pm pick up time only to discover once we arrived that they closed at 9p. We were upgraded because of that. When we picked up the car the next morning, the clerk literally typed in his computer for 20 min without telling us what he was doing. Then he asked for a utility bill. Really??? About an hour after we left, he called and asked us to come back becuz he forgot to make a copy of my drivers license and insurance card.

After saying that I would be picking my car up at 9 pm, and getting an email on how to get to the rental facility, no one answered the # I called to be picked up at lot C. I tried several times, called the company #, but was left stranded with no car, and ultimately had to use another company at a Very expensive rate because it was so last minute. I had a beyond poor experience with this company

The agent initially said he had no reservation for me. Fortunately, I had my printed confirmation, which showed I indeed had a reservation for 7/2. He said it had been entered for the day before. I don't know how that could have happened, and it stressed me out a bit to hear that, but they were able to honor my reservation after all. It worked out alright and I would rent from B&W again, but I would be a little wary.

Renting from Black and White is a pleasure. There's no waiting in lines, they're friendly and helpful, and their prices are better than the national rental companies. All in all a winning combination. I will always rent from them when visiting the LA area.

The Hollywood location where we picked up from was terrible. I wish the website had explained how difficult it was to find their office - inside a bus company. The cars are kept in an underground parking lot and we had to walk through a mall and down 3 escalators just to get there, PLUS I had luggage, an infant and his car seat with me. Very inconvenient. The Beverly hills location is much better and the company should explain that on their website to avoid future client dissatisfaction.
