There were issues with the vehicle unknown to the company that I found luckily before we left the parking lot but overall the staff was extremely understanding and helpful in resolving issues and answering questions.

As a Canadian traveller from outside of the USA, a United Auto courtesy phone at both the San Diego airport & car rental centre would have been nice as that would have saved me roaming charges (on your toll free phone number) on the 2 calls I had to make from my cell phone.
