Everything I expected,
Booked my vehicle over a month before I arrived. The day before arrival Daniel called and told me the vehicle I requested wasn't available so I took another. It was too small for our requirements (which Daniel knew I had 3 adult, 2 sets of golf clubs, and 3 bags), it had filthy seats, smelled strongly of smoke, the trunk wouldn't open properly and the staff member didn't know how to drop the top. I spent over 40 minutes trying to make it work. I couldn't be more disappointed by the whole fiasco.
The car I was given smelled of smoke so I didn't drive it as much as I would have liked. The car also had a shake in the front end when I was on the freeway.
Wait for pickup was ok, not great. Same with checkout. Car seemed like it needed new tires and alignment--72,000+ miles! My hands vibrated at freeway speed.

Had a great experience with United Auto rental
When returned the car my rise was running late. The gentleman allowed my wife and son to sit and wait in the car as it was extra cold out that night. We also left a wallet in the car and it was easy to call and pickup the following day. Great service all around. Thank you
You were closed when we landed at the airport without any warning to us. We could only leave a voice mail message and had to scramble to get another car. It was awful. Thanks for nothing.
The staff was helpful, courteous, and efficient. I will not hesitate to recommend United to anyone I know is going to San Diego.
