The first car I had was given to me with a gas light on, flat tire and low brake fluid. But once I took it back; they were happy to give me another car which I had no problems with. Overall, they had the cheapest rates and were accomodating.
I turned the car in 24 hours early and my bill was still $20 above the quote given me on-line. I felt dissatisfied because my expectation was a bill that was lower than or equal to the on-line "agreement" not above.
the car smelled horribly of smoke. Frequently the whole car shuddered when I braked. Strong gas smell when starting the car. No other car available at the time to trade. When I got back to Toronto and was able to trade the car, it was fine.
The customer service was horrible and rude to say the least. We were not informed the rental agency was not at the airport, but "on" airport property and it took 30 minutes to find plus wait for a shuttle.Also over charged on insurance.
The only complaint I have was the incorrect address given on the Internet when I booked. I spent a lot of time/$ taking a taxi from downtown to this location to find it wasn't there. This was corrected with a free shuttle c/o Econolodge.

I cannot understand how on the internet it is advertised unlimited mileage but when I arrived at the desk I was told because I am Ontario resident that I am restricted to 200 km/day.I waited over a hour for a car -UNACCEPTABLE!!!
There was no proper signage at the rental depot which was inside a hotel. Secondly the first car offered was not running properly and then we had to wait a long time for the next car to arrive. The require service light was always on during the trip.
We waited a long time for shuttle - then he dropped off several others at other agencies - then picked up other renters and took them to the airport before taking us to our rental agency. Long counter wait for the rental.

My first car had a burned out headlight and they swapped it out for me.....was quoted 2 hours, 6 hours later they showed up, wasting 1 day of my holiday, 2nd car had wrong registration, contract had different car and police held me up for 1 hour!!!
