The car had a terrible smell inside. I would have expected it to be sanitized better
During these times of COVID.
I had to rent from Carzi because they were the only company with vehicles available. The car I had was at least 10+ years old and I thought it was going to fall apart on some of Phoenix’s roads. It was not maintained well and was NOT worth the $475 price tag for 2.5 days.
They also took a “deposit” AFTER they had already charged my credit card for the full amount, so that made no sense at all.
Do yourself a favor, plan ahead and avoid this company.
200 miles is not enough for the PHX area. Please double or make unlimited. Also, staff did not return message. It was my first time renting through Carzi and I had a couple of questions about billing. I still don’t know what my final bill is. However, the pick up and drop off process was easy.

Carzi charged me a per mileage fee for driving over 200 miles. Nothing in the initial reservation process points out that Carzi charges a mileage fee. Who even does that anymore? Carzi uses an unethical business model. Also the pickup and return location is confusing. Not the usual car rental center for Phoenix airport. Also, they expected me to have the car washed before returning.
The vehicle served its purpose and I get it they're used cars.
Car was awful. High mileage and ran terribly. Was actually fearful of breaking down. When stopped it was shaking and vibrating so bad when anyone spoke their voice would vibrate. It made terrifying sounds. The breaks were so worn they felt like they didn’t work properly. The passenger window did not work. The front bumper was held on with zip ties! I cannot believe we paid so much for something that was so dangerous to drive. Extremely upset and dissatisfied with this whole experience.
I had such a great experience with Carzi! This was the first time I had ever used them, and it more than exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them again!
