The car we were originally allocated was left hand drive but Grand Cayman drives on the left (like UK where we are from) so we asked for a right hand drive.Then told none available but miraculously found one. We took this car but it wasn't in particularly good condition but it survived the 4 weeks we rented it for. Also they weren't particularly keen to accept my worldwide insurance for car hire but did eventually - i guess a lot of profit is made from these short term insurance deals?
Can't say enough good about Andys. We are on Cayman numerous times a year and will always use Andys!
The first car was good the second car was an embarisment.
This evaluation covers 2 vehicles over period of 3 weeks. Have rented from Andy's for several years now and will continue to do so.
Your staff at owens roberts airport was exceptional. They went out of their way to help us load luggage and upon return provided us with a shuttle to Red Bay where we were staying with friends. Absolutely a pleasure to work with. We Miss You!!
efficient and good value
I HAVE BEEN TO CAYMAN ABOUT 15 TIMES IN THE LAST 37 YEARS AND HAVE USED ANDY'S FOR ALL BUT THE FIRST FEW RENTALS - GOOD COMPANY, GOOD CARS AND FAIR RATES - BOB TRAPP
Though there were only 2 of us customers picking up cars after our flight, it took forever for the one agent to process each rental, even though both of us had rented there before and had reservations. Then again this place is always very slow!!
Suggestions are to stock right hand drive cars. I found driving a left hand car in a left hand side country more difficult when checking for cars on the right especially in the round-about's. Also, the Garmin needs an update. It didn't recognize the diversion of West Bay road around the new hotel/condo.
Vehicle was smaller than expected. Could have had other vehicle.But not really different except left hand drive. Got the impression all they had of my reservation was my name.Will try to reserve with someone who will guarantee my choice of vehicle.
