VIA Car Rental Renter Rated Reviews - Page 1

The car had a low tire and 1/4 tank of gas. But they requested I fill it up to full before return. They charged a fee for debit card even though the fine print said you could use a debit card. I reserved months in advance but they didn’t have the reservation. It took 45 minutes to reserve. They took a shot of my debit card and it appeared on a screen where other customers could see the card information. I left very frustration and I will not ever rent from them again!

My rate quote that I reserved went form $90 to $600 for both of my reservations. We promptly cancelled our reservation and had the gentleman take us back to the airport.

Total scam. I reserved online for $11 a day for 9 days. We did not come through the airport, we are local residents. After they added "fees" at the desk the true cost per day was $51 a day. Rented for 2 days instead of 9. Total scam. Never again.

I would never do business with this rental company again. When you arrive you get to another car rental store. Apparently VIA operates out of a backdoor shed behind this car rental. Very shady. They hit you with a lot of extras that apparently you have to get. It's mandatory like the toll pass. I wouldn't recommend this place

This was the worst car rental experience I have had. Despite having two emails with a quote I was charged $70 more then the quote, even though I ended up renting for a day less. The attendant could not explain where in the emails it said I would be charged more upon arrival. Even on the contract he just said oh its somewhere. Was not willing to work on price give the 50% total hike upon arrival. Then when dropping off the car, despite confirmed communication... I have a lot more to say.

We were told at the rental desk upon check in that there would be a $740.00 extra charge for some airport access fee. They said I was going to have the rental for 21 days which was correct. We would only be at the airport 2 times— arrival and departure. Does that make any sense?? I ask where does that extra charge appear on the quote and was told in the terms and conditions area! A HUGE DECEPTION! We declined the rental immediately. We will NEVER rent from them again
