I was very pleased with everything, but I was a little disappointed with the payment policy. I had to put an additional 200 plus on the fee up front because I used my bank card although it has a MasterCard logo. Most companies do not actually take the amount off your card. I do understand there has to be a hold in some way, but I think that was too much. It takes too much too long for it to be retuned back. Other than that. I really like the company and the car.
Pick-up the airport was very slow; however the return shuttle to the airport was very prompt!

I reserved a ford fusion (o similar) and was given an upgrade to a 2017 mustang! It was great to drive around California in a mustang. Made me feel like a local.
There was a slight mix up but it was promptly fixed.

Must have been short-staffed when I arrived to pick up the car. There wasn't anybody at the desk. I waited and decided to call, but no one answered. After about 10 minutes someone came in (apparently from upstairs where the cars are kept) and assisted me.
Otherwise, I was extremely happy with the rental and, as long as the rates stay lower than the competitors, I will continue to use MCAR.
I was expecting much worse and was very pleasantly surprised. For certain reasons I could not use a credit card during this trip and was a bit nervous using a new company for me. From the first email correspondence confirming credit card alternatives to catching the shuttle back to the airport afterwards, everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. There were no long lines to wait in, no pushy add-ons, and the vehicle was immaculate.
