Was not advised about the license check before my card was charged
I have been renting from Empire Rent A Car for some years. The staff is always respectful and courteous. I have never encounter any issues with renting a car or moving van from them. The cost of rental has always been reasonable and on point.
All good on all fronts.
We called up specifically asking about rates and times during this crisis - we were assured by the person on the phone that the "late return" would be waived, since hours have been curttailed through no fault of our own. We were also told someone would call us back the day we set up the rental online. We were not called, and when my colleague arrived to pick up the car, the fee was not waived and we were charged almost $100 over the original quoted price. We will unlikely rent from here again.
A major car rental agency canceled my cargo van reservation at the last minute. I found empire online the phone service person was great. They had a van to rent. The van wasn't at the Fordham location so we had to go to Gunhill... But the van was great and all billing is as described. Its a weird time now with the Pandemic. but the rental agency was professional and polite. thanks.
The Empire rental experience was very satisfactory. Didn't encounter any problems, staff was very courteous.
