Air conditioning and the plug for charging phone did not work, and had a lot of dents. Usually would not need air conditioning in Ketchikan, but 2 of the days were in the high 70s. In spite of all the dents, it ran well, got good gas mileage. The person who helped us was great! Friendly, funny, and told us of all the problems with the car before we rented it. It was an expensive car rental, but comparable to other agencies in Ketchikan. I chose it because it was a locally owned company.

I've rented from Alaska Car rental before. The reason I rented from them again is because of the service I received from them the first time. They didn't disappoint. Friendly service again!

Rented car to tour area during our cruise. Discovered a patched tire when it BLEW OUT in the middle of nowhere. Found one other person with cell service on the otherwise deserted road. Rental agent (woman) told me to go ahead and change the tire myself -thanks! Luckily the person with the phone also knew how to change a tire. When we returned car they verified I had filled the gas tank. I had to ASK if there would be any compensation for my troubles. I was given a total discount of $12!!!

We rented to drive away from the crowds when getting off a cruise ship. The ship was late arriving but still picked up and treated very well.
