Kevin was a good guy. He checked me out and back in the next day. Something to keep in mind, there is an excess mileage fee for anything over 300 miles, but that covered driving to Philly and back. If you plan to stay local, you'll be fine. Just good to know for those used to having unlimited miles included in a rental.
This is the 6th time I've rented from the Empire Rent a Car location on Pennsylvania Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Bev, the manager, and Marco, the attendant, have basically become family. They are professional, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. The cars at this location are always clean and properly functioning. The rates are reasonably cheap and the deposit is way less than any other car rental I've seen so far, including the top brand names. You will not regret going with them.

The only problem I had was that the front tire had a leak. When I brought it to them, I was told, "the car was sitting there all night, drive it for a while and the pressure gauge may fix itself." Well, that was not the case. There was actually a slow leak in the tire. I had it fixed and turned in the receipt when I returned the car.
The RPM's also ran very high. I told them to look at it before renting it out again.
Otherwise, GREAT PRICE, GOOD CAR, NICE RIDE, EXCELLENT SERVICE.
