Pretty straight forward rental if using a credit card and can provide your insurance information beforehand if you are looking to decline their coverage. Not a significant difference in pricing over renting at the airport but I found the shuttle pick up and dropoff a lot more hassle free than renting at the airport and their cars were truly clean and smoke smell free, unlike the air

Staff was extremely friendly both in person and over the phone. The underage fee was definitely doable and not outrageous, which is a plus! I will definitely rent from Charlie Car Rental my next time in Puerto Rico!
We wouldn't change anything about our experience with Charlie Car Rental and will use again given the chance to travel back to Puerto Rico in the near future! The only issue I had was with the insurance. I needed to call my insurance so they can talk to them to make sure it was transferable to Puerto Rico. They should have a note on the website, or email after reservation, to bring proof of the requested info. The pickup took a while because I needed to find the phone number, call the insurance, and then pick up the car.

I paid what I had been quoted. This is a rarity among car rental agencies at the SJU airport where "bait and switch" is typical of Thrifty, Dollar and Payless car rental companies. Finally, a company where you pay exactly what you were quoted up front. Thank you.
