The vehicle that was given to me smelled awful, was very dirty. I had to wait 45 minutes to even get a response from anyone once I arrived. waiting in phoenix in the hot sun for 45 minutes to get a vehicle is unacceible. There was no one in the rental building. The vehicle had broken taillights and should not have been on the road...

The cars are not at the airport, you have to waited for an unmarked shuttle to get you. Good luck finding the shuttle because no one says anything. I had to ask every shuttle driver if they were stride. Finally a blue one with four car companies on it said yes. None of the car companies were stride. Then I got there after this hour ordeal and found out they had canceled my car. I was late because I could not find their shuttle. This was a horrible experience.

My flight was delayed - I was 2 hours late to pick up the car and they said they cancelled my reservation. I said Im here so he said he asked a manager who said no to renting me a car. But there was a woman sitting next to him who is running a company called Rent a Wreck. He said will help you. She wanted 88 a day for a piece of junk. So my friend, they are running a scam. I just left after a few choice words.

Andrew of State Van did an excellent job from the day I reserved the Van through pick-up. He showed us how to operate the Van and where all the important items were. He was efficient and friendly; fully and accurately explaining everything I needed to know about the rental. I would definitely rent a Van or any car from this company again.

The car was very dirty and old, as were the car seats. The car also had engine light and low tire pressure lights on the dash board. I was scared driving it up hills as the bottom of the car made loud cracking noises. The engine was also very loud when idling. I rented from empress to support the local car rental company, but I would not rent again.

The vehicle we rented was in very poor condition. The side door wouldn’t work all the time and it was not what was pictured on the website. One of the seatbelts also didn’t work. Another issue was the poor instructions given for how to get to the vehicle. And finally, when we go to return the vehicle they tell us that we have to drop off all passengers first and then return vehicle when that was not stated at all in the instructions. It’s a shame bc the price is right but poor service
