Vancouver International Airport is located on Sea Island, 12 miles from the downtown Vancouver area. Canada Line SkyTrain provides a rapid transit link connecting the airport to downtown in 26 minutes. The Line picks up between the International and Domestic terminals. There is a $5 AddFare added to the cost of using the Canada Line.

There are several taxicab companies that service the Vancouver International Airport. They are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Prices for taxis are metered, with the average cost of a trip to the downtown area being around $30.
Courtesy shuttle service is available outside Arrivals Level 2 International Terminal Building and outside the Arrivals Level 1 Domestic Terminal Building. The shuttle provides transportation to hotels in the area. Reservations are required to use the shuttle service.
