There is no city quite like Anaheim. The California city is home to the one and only Disneyland, and also serves as a large producer of oranges, hence the city being in, where else, Orange County! With a population of 336,224 people, Anaheim is the most populated city in Orange County, and the 10th most populated in the state. Anaheim sits 25 miles south of the downtown Los Angeles area. Summers in Anaheim are typical of the California weather people have come to love, with warm and pleasant summers and mild winters. While there are several different transportation options available in Anaheim, none compare to the use of a cheap rental car that can easily get you anywhere that you may need to go.
The first place you are going to want to visit while in Anaheim is Disneyland. Disneyland is a dream come true for young and old alike, and the adventure park is filled with so many activities it could take days to enjoy them all. From Disney themed rides and games to meet and greets with Disney characters, Disneyland has it all!
The Golden Vine Winery
If Disneyland isn't quite what you had in mind, there are plenty of other choices available to all visitors in the area. The Golden Vine Winery is one such choice. The winery offers daily tours of the 55-acre facility so that guests can see firsthand the wine making process, view the orchards, and even enjoy wine tastings of some of Anaheim's favourite wines.
For those who have never experienced the delights of a dinner theatre, a visit to Plaza Girabaldi is in order. Along with a delicious dinner, guests are treated to the sights and sounds of Mexican mariachi folk dancers, singers, tango dancers and so much more. You won't want to miss the Argentinean drum and rope act called 'Boleadoras' that takes place here. The food served is authentic country-style Mexican fare that will leave you satisfied and your stomach full, and the excellent margaritas are some of the best in California. It is almost as enjoyable as a trip to Mexico without ever leaving the country!
Nothing can compare to visiting a great museum, and The Muzeo is one you are sure to want to include on your agenda. Inside of this museum you can explore the great diversity of the Orange County city with great exhibits, art work, and so much more! Open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Muzeo offers a world of excitement for all!
