Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is one of the busiest airports in the world, with over 60 million passengers annually. It is home to eight massive terminals and partnered with all the globe’s major airlines, including Virgin, United, American, Delta, Qantas and US Airways.
LAX sits outside of downtown Los Angeles, and passengers have a number of ways for getting to and from the airport. Its terminals are west of Sepulveda Boulevard and Century Boulevard. You can use 405 Freeway to move east of Century Boulevard and 105 Freeway to head south. It is an easy trip, especially if one takes advantage of a cheap car rental that can be picked up and dropped off at the terminal or nearby. Check out the great agencies featured at CarRentalExpresses LAX page, just on the left. Each of them is Renter Rated for service quality information.
There are a number of buses that will take passengers throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas. They include the Grayline/Coach that goes directly to Knott’s Berry Farm, and the Disneyland and Anaheim Resort Hotels. They also drop you in front of Universal Studios. There is the Santa Barbara Airbus found northwest of LAX that travels between Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Goleta. You can also utilize Mickeyıs Space Ship Shuttle, Central Coast and Ventura County Airporter, just to name a few.
Take advantage of shared long distance vans that can be found under the green signs. Roadrunner Shuttle travels the 44 miles to Simi Valley, as well as Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Flyaway buses go to Van Nuys, Union Station, Hollywood and more, leaving from each terminal under the green signs.
There are taxis and other car services like LA Checker, City Cab and Bell. Many of the resorts and hotels in the area have shuttles that take guests between the terminals and their locations. These resorts often have some of the cheapest car rental services available. Shared ride vans, serving all Southern California counties, pick up at lower arrival areas in front of each terminal. There is also Los Angeles Metro Rail that operates on the Green Line.
So, from rail to cheaper car rentals, LAX has everyone covered for local travel.
Los Angeles is one of the most popular and busiest tourist destinations in the world. That easily makes Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) a transport hub for the Southland. It’s an architecturally stunning vision. This is because the enormous airport was designed and constructed in different eras. With nine terminals and partnerships with a broad range of airlines, there is no better way for seeing not just one of the most beautiful cities in the country, but the rest of the world as well. Parking is conveniently located next to terminals which serve different parts of the world and the USA.
Whether you want to get out to Disneyland, lay on a sunny beach or get your hands on a cheap car rental, LAX can make it happen. When visiting the City of Angels, especially on business, renting a car is probably your best option. Despite adequate public transportation, your time is limited and getting behind the wheel and moving at your own pace is the only way to get around. LA is a sprawling metropolis, with many freeways and best accessed by car.
