Cozumel is an island off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It is one of the most popular travel destinations in Mexico, known for its great underwater adventures. It is also the largest inhabited island in all of Mexico. Arriving in Cozumel can be made via the Cozumel International Airport or by boat. There is no public transportation in Cozumel, therefore once you are on the island, choices will include taxi cabs or rental cars. Cozumel's climate is often compared to that of Cancun, with beautiful clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine. Temperatures stay above 68 degrees year round, making the area a great place to visit no matter the season. Humidity in Cozumel is high, but with the sea breezes, the weather still tends to be quite nice year-round.
