Car Rentals at Pittsburgh International Airport
Pittsburgh International Airport serves more than 14 million people each year. Located 20 miles from the downtown area, the airport offers domestic and international flights to various parts of the world. There are two main terminals at PIT: Landside Terminal and the Airside Terminal. The Landside Terminal is closest to the parking garage and features a Regency Hyatt hotel attached to the enclosed moving walkway. Four concourses make up the airside terminal with a total of 75 gates. Plan to arrive 90 minutes prior to a domestic flight and 2 hours prior to an international flight in order to pass security and customs checkpoints.
Three parking options are available for daily, weekly and long term parking. Those picking up a traveler from PIT airport must use the short term parking garage to wait.
Ground Transportation At Pittsburgh International Airport
Ground transportation is available at the Landside terminal outside of baggage claim. Several options can suit the needs of every traveler.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County operates bus service from the airport on the 28X Route. Mountain Line Transit provides a Grey Line transportation service from the airport, offering service to areas south of Pittsburgh.
Taxi service is available with a flat rate fee for service to downtown Pittsburgh. Taxis can offer transportation to other areas of town as well, with metered fares with each.
