Car Rentals at Kansas City International
Located 15 miles from downtown Kansas City, the Kansas City International Airport has been named as one of three "least miserable airports." That's great news for anyone using the airport! The security at the airport is among the best of any airport, with full body scanners in use. Plan to arrive two hours prior to your flight departure in order to proceed through these checkpoints. Both international and domestic flights are available. Three passenger terminals hold three circular terminals. Within the circular terminals are parking spaces for traveler's use. Economy parking is available in lots A, B & C, and daily valet service is also available.
All parking areas offer 30 minutes of free parking. Passengers can easily get around with the free Blue Bus that runs about every 10 minutes between the terminals and the Economy Parking Lots. You'll also want to try a cheap rental car at Kansas City Airport.
Ground Transportation At MCI
You'll never be stranded with the numerous ground transportation offered at the Kansas City International Airport. The Metro bus runs service from the airport with fares of only $1.50 (change only) each.
Passengers may elect to hire a shuttle service from the airport. The shuttle service can provide drop off at many locations for one low cost. These services must be pre-arranged. Many hotels near the MCI also offer a complimentary shuttle service.
Rental cars are another option available to travelers. Dozens of rental cars are available to choose from. Renting a car is often the cheapest transportation available.
Metered taxi service is available for immediate pick up outside of the airport terminals. Cab fares tend to be quite expensive, and the rates are for single rides only.
