Tocumen International Airport is an airport that is located 15 miles from Panama City, Panama. As the busiest airport in Central America, the airport underwent major renovations in the year 2006 to handle the enormous amount of traffic going through the airport each day. There is a main passenger terminal with two levels for departures inside of the airport. Tocumen uses the airport code PTY. Open air parking is available in front of the terminal where guests may pick up or drop passengers off at Tocumen. There is a $20 departure tax for all passengers at Tocumen. Plan to arrive a minimum of two hours prior to the departure time of your flight in order to pass through Customs and security.
