Colorado Springs National Airport (COS) is a city-owned airport located 6 miles southwest of the business district. It is the second-busiest airport in the state. The passenger terminal connects the airport's two concourses. There are 16 departure gates for travelers. The airport handles trips within the U.S. to other major airports in the United States.

COS is known as one of the easiest and most hassle-free airports in the US, however, it is still important to arrive at the airport in plenty of time to pass the vigorous security check-points at the airport. Arrive a minimum of 2 hours prior to the flight departure time to give plenty of time to get through.
