Fort Lauderdale International Airport Transportation & Parking

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) Airport has a series of parking and transportation options.

Parking

The garage complex has over 12,000 parking spaces for daily use. It's 20 minutes for $1 with a maximum of $36.00 daily. Long term parking is available through the airport's Economy Parking. There's a terminal pick-up and drop-off service at each terminal. They are located outside of Baggage Claim on the lower level crosswalk. There are shuttle stop signs spread liberally directing you to these spots. The shuttles run 24 hours a day every 15 minutes.

FLL offers special accommodations for individuals with upper body mobility limitations. ADA Parking Access allows parking for patrons that can't pull a ticket. Disabled parking spaces are located conveniently throughout all the parking facilities. Wheelchair access is located on levels 1 and 4 at the west end of the garage complex. Otherwise, use the elevator to reach the shuttle, all of which are wheelchair equipped.

Taxis

Taxi cabs are available around the clock if you choose not to have a cheap FLL car rental. Each terminal has a Transportation Podium at the lower level, curbside. As required by Florida law, the fares are posted at the podium. The fares are zone based as opposed to distance. These fares apply to taxi cabs, shared rides and luxury Sedans. To expedite travel circumstances and prevent prolonged waits, shared rides are encouraged. Drivers are allowed to accept up to five passengers per trip, with each person responsible for the stated fare.

Vans and Sedans

The airport has Sedan and mini-bus services that are usually cheaper than taxis. Contact the airport directly for more information. Passenger Sedans and limousines offer door to door services at reasonable rates. Sedan fares may be covered by the zone based fares charts that can be found at pick-up stations throughout the airport.

Buses and Rails

The Broward County Mass Transit line is located at the west end of Terminal 1, between terminals 2 and 3, and 3 and 4. It offers service that connects through the Central Terminal and goes as far out as Aventura in Miami-Dade. For more info, contact the transit system via 954-357-8400 or 954-357-8302 (TTY).

The Tri-Rail is Broward County's community rail service. It offers service between West Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach through FLL. It's accessible via the Tri-Rail's free shuttle from FLL's main terminals. It operates seven days a week. For additional information about the Tri-Rail's daily schedule, visit their website or contact them at 800-874-7245.
