SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit of $500 to $1500 USD, depending on the category.
Only Amex, MasterCard and Visa and Discover credit cards are accepted and the card must be
matching the renter's driver license.
CANCELLATION POLICY
As a courtesy to fellow customers, please cancel any unneeded reservation as soon as your plans
change. In certain cases, and with certain rates or vehicle groups, a cancellation fee may apply if
an unwanted reservation is not canceled at least 48 hours prior to the reserved pick-up time.
Those fees are:
• If you cancel your booking more than 2 days (48 Hours) prior to your scheduled pick-up
time you will not be charged for any cancellation fees.
• If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be
charged 50% of your rental fee.
• If you fail to show up for your reservation without any notice, you will be charged 100% of
your rental fee.
Ascent will keep the reservation confirmed for 2 hours after the original time of booking. After
that we have the right to release the vehicle that is on hold for the next customer. Cancellation
fees will apply.
SPECIAL TERMS APPLY TO THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES AND ONE WAY RENTALS: 8 Passenger
vehicles (Minivan, Full size SUV, Full size SUV XL), One-way rentals (PICKUP AND DROP OFF AT THE
DIFFERENT LOCATION), Winter tire cars (October- May)
• If you cancel your booking more than 15 days prior to your scheduled pick-up time you will
not be charged any cancellation fees.
• If you cancel your booking within 15 days of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be
charged 50% of your rental fee.
• If you fail to show up for your reservation without any notice, you will be charged 100% of
your rental fee.
12 & 15 Passenger vans
• If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to your scheduled pick-up time you will
not be charged any cancellation fees.
• If you cancel your booking within 30 days of your scheduled pick-up time, you will be
charged 50% of your rental fee.
• If you fail to show up for your reservation without any notice, you will be charged 100% of
your rental fee.
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS.
• Driver’s Age: Minimum rental age is 18 years and the maximum age is 90 years. (Driver
surcharge of 20 CAD per day will apply for drivers aged from 18 to 24 years old or 75 to 90
years old.)
• Driver’s License: Drivers must hold a full and valid license with no major endorsements.
Also passport would be required at time of pick up.
• An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory if domestic drivers license is not in
English. International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic
license of the driver.
INSURANCE INFORMATION.
LDW: Collision Damage Waiver: It reduce liability of payment in case of partial or total damage to
the rented vehicle by paying a deductible $2000.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): It is not included in the rental amount
Theft Waiver (THW): It is not included in the rental amount.
Third-party liability coverage, which is included, covers $200 thousand. $5 million third party
cover is now $15/day
Please Note:
1. A valid Police report is mandatory in case of an incident/accident/damage, or theft. The
customer must immediately inform the rental desk about the incident.
2. Renter must present the vehicle keys and documents to the rental company to qualify for
coverage; the insurance will be invalidated, and the renter will be liable for the full amount due to
the loss of the vehicle. In the event of any damage to the vehicle for theft reasons, the insurance
does not cover the renter.
3. Any damage due to driver negligence or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other
controlled substances is not covered by insurance.
4. Insurance doesn’t cover Windows and mirrors, wheels and tire, undercarriage, engine, the car’s
interior, personal belongings, lost keys, extras such as GPS or child seats.
RESERVATION POLICY
The customer has a grace period of 2 hours. If the customer provides the flight number within this
period, the reservation will be honored. If the customer does not show up after the 2 hour grace
period, it will be marked as NO-SHOW
REFUND POLICY
Please note that we are unable to give a refund if you return the vehicle early.

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
CAD 10.00 Per day
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The customer has a grace period of 59 minutes; if the customer does not deliver before the hour,
he/she will be charged as an extra day.
Early return
Please note that we are unable to give a refund if you return the vehicle early.
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER STATE
One-way rentals are available throughout Canada and the USA. Please inquire directly through our

FUEL POLICY
You have to return the vehicle with the same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of
pickup. In case of less fuel, missing fuel will be charged $4.99 per little in addition to a refueling fee
on your return. Supplier's fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.
EXTRAS
Confirmation of Special Equipments depends upon the availability at the rental desk. Winter tyres
are available during the winter months and are guaranteed upon booking.

ROAD ASSISTANCE
Breakdown assistance is available free of charge. It does not cover tyre change. If it's customer's
fault, charges will apply depending on the fault or damage. Relevant contact details and roadside
assistance procedures will be given prior to the commencement of the hire.
GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS
Cross-border travel is allowed to USA and Canada, No charges. Geographical restrictions are set
for northern provinces, territories and states. Please inquiry about special permisson to travel to
these remote areas.
TOLLS AND FINES
You are responsible for all traffic and parking infringements during the period of the rental. If
Ascent Rent A Car is notified of an infringement during or after the end of the rental it will provide
to the notifying authority details necessary for the authority to hold you liable for the
infringement. Ascent Rent A Car will without notice charge to your credit card together with
administrative fee of $50 for each unpaid violation. If found smoking in the car, a charge of $450
will be applicable.
If the car keys or documents are lost a fee of $700 will be applicable.
ACCIDENTS AND INCIDENTS
You will promptly report any accident or loss involving the vehicle while rented under this
agreement to the Company, location where the vehicle was hired and will deliver to the Company
immediately, every summons, complaint or paper in relation to such loss. Compliance with this
sub-paragraph does not excuse the hirer from reporting an accident to police or other authorities.
