DRIVER REQUIREMENTS.
America Car Rental requires the following documentation to offer the service:
• Minimum age is 20 years old and maximum age is 55 years old.
• Personalised credit card with the full name of the cardholder.
• Identification (ID) (Passport with photo in the case of foreign clients).
• Valid driving licence or international license.
**We accept payments with Cash or transfer for deposits, the payment of the rent can be in,
credit card and debit card, but the guarantee is always with credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex,
Discover, Diners).
INSURANCE INFORMATION.
TPL (Third Party Liability)
The Third Party Liability Protection covers the customer in case of damage to third parties and the
Tafira is $20 USD per day.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
Covers damage to the rented vehicle in case of collision or accident. Applies as long as the vehicle
is driven according to the terms of the contract. Requires the presentation of a police report for
any claim. Customer is still responsible for a deductible, depending on the level of coverage
purchased, if CDW insurance is purchased and changes security deposit amount at the following
rates.
• Economy $1,000 USD
• Sedans $1,200 USD
• Suv $1,500 USD
• Vans $2,000 USD
Does not cover damage due to negligence, misuse, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs
or off authorized routes.
PAI (Personal medical expense)
Covers emergency medical expenses, Ambulance and medical transfer expenses at a rate of $15
USD per day.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
The following cards are accepted for the security deposit (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover,
Diners).
CANCELLATION POLICY
You can cancel your booking 72 hours before delivery. If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to
delivery the cancellation fee is $30 USD.
RESERVATION POLICY
The customer will have a waiting period of three hours from the pick-up time indicated in their
reservation, provided that the customer sends their flight details and if we have the requested car.
It is important to note that if the customer does not arrive after the grace period and did not notify
us, the reservation will be marked as a no show.
MILEAGE
The vehicle may be driven only within mainland Ecuador. It is allowed to leave the country with prior
authorisation and an additional charge of $30.
Driving is not permitted in unauthorised areas, such as unpaved roads, beaches, extreme
mountainous areas or protected nature reserves without permission.
In case of use outside the permitted areas, the insurance will be automatically invalidated and the
client will assume all associated risks and costs.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
The cost for an additional driver is $8 USD per day and must have a valid driver's license minimum
age 20 years to 55 years.
Young drivers: $15 USD per day.
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The car must be returned at the same time the rental period is 24 hours with a one hour grace
period, but after that time there is a charge of $20 for each hour after 3 hours, 1 day is charged.
You can return the car in another branch with a cost of $10.
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER STATE
Delivery can be made to other cities at a cost of $150, as long as it is done in advance.
FUEL POLICY
The fuel tank must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when the vehicle was picked up.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a $10 USD charge will be made for each quart.

We have 24-hour assistance in Ecuadorian territory
GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS
You can leave Ecuador, but only places close to the border and that costs $25 per day outside
Ecuadorian territory.
TOLLS AND FINES
Tolls and fines will be recharged from customers' cards and the respective fine and toll voucher will
be sent.
ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS
It must be reported immediately to Nazcar and a police report must always be made by the client
to the insurance company, otherwise the insurance will not be effective.
