DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

America Car Rental requires the following documentation to provide the service:
• Drivers aged 23 years and above are accepted without any surcharge. A young driver fee
of €8 per day will apply to drivers aged between 21 and 23 years. There is a maximum age
limit for the primary driver of 65 years old, a fee of 12€ per day will be applied to the
senior driver aged between 65 and 75 years. An additional driver may be added to the
rental agreement for a flat fee of €5 per day
• A valid physical driver’s license issued in the renter’s home country, with a photo and at
least 12 months of validity from the date it was first obtained, must be presented at the
time of pick-up. Renters from outside the United States, U.S. Territories, Canada, the
United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand, or from countries that
do not use the Latin alphabet, are also required to present a valid International Driving
Permit (IDP) in English, in addition to their national driving license. A valid governmentissued passport is also mandatory.
• Payment for the rental and the security deposit must be made by the renter only, using a
physical credit card in the same name as on the rental agreement.
• The rental company reserves the right to refuse service to any renter showing signs of
intoxication, substance abuse, suspicious behavior, or aggressive or erratic conduct.
• All types of driver’s licenses — U.S., Canadian, International, or others — are accepted, and
no specific restrictions apply.
Accepted Payment Methods for rental fees are ONLY Visa and Mastercard Credit. For security
deposit, ONLY Visa and Mastercard CREDIT CARDS are accepted. We do not accept cash payments.


INSURANCE INFORMATION

All rental vehicles are insured in accordance with Moroccan law for civil liability (ThirdParty Insurance), covering damages caused to third parties during the rental period. Any
insurance claim will be accepted only if it is supported by an official police report issued by
the competent Moroccan authorities.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Covers damage to the rental vehicle in the event of a collision.
Reduces your financial liability up to the excess amount specified in the rental agreement.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): is an optional coverage that protects the driver and passengers
in case of injury or death resulting from an accident during the rental period.
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW): Removes the excess liability to zero
Theft Protection(TP): Covers the cost if the rental vehicle is stolen or damaged due to attempted
theft.


SECURITY DEPOSIT

Accepted Payment Methods for rental fees are ONLY Visa and Mastercard Credit. For security
deposit ONLY Visa and Mastercard CREDIT CARDS are accepted. We do not accept cash
payments.
A security deposit is pre-authorized on the renter’s credit card for the entire duration of the rental
period. The amount of the deposit depends on the vehicle category (ranging from 1,700.00€ to
75,000.00€) and is intended to cover potential damages, traffic violations, or other financial
obligations incurred during the rental.
The deposit will be released (unblocked) only upon return of the vehicle, provided that:
• The vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was at the time of pick-up;
• There are no new damages, no outstanding traffic fines, and no unpaid charges related to
the rental.
• If any damage, traffic fine, or other financial penalty is identified at the time of return, the
renter must settle all related costs in full before the security deposit can be released.
• The lessor reserves the right to partially or fully retain the deposit amount to cover such
costs, in accordance with the terms of the rental agreement and Moroccan law.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Unpaid reservations can be cancelled at any time. Pre-paid reservations cannot be cancelled.
No refunds will be issued in cases of early vehicle returns, unused rental days, or cancellation of
prepaid reservations.


RESERVATION POLICY

All reservations are held for up to (1) hour after the scheduled pick-up date and time. After this
period, if the renter has not arrived or made contact, the booking will be considered a NO-SHOW,
and vehicle availability can no longer be guaranteed.
In the case of a NO-SHOW, the reservation may be reactivated upon request, subject to vehicle
availability at the time of inquiry.
Prepaid reservations are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or modified. If the renter fails to
collect the vehicle, no refund or credit will be issued for the unused rental period.
Business hours from 08:00 AM to 23:00, before and after business hours, the fee is $30 USD
The minimum rental period is 3 days and the maximum rental period is 30 days.


MILEAGE

Unlimited mileage.


ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

A maximum of TWO (2) additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement.
Each additional driver must present a valid driving license and passport or national ID, meeting the
same eligibility requirements as the primary driver.
An additional driver fee of €5 per driver applies for the entire duration of the rental period.
All additional drivers must be named and signed in the rental agreement prior to vehicle pick-up;
otherwise, they will not be authorized to drive the rented vehicle.


RETURN OF THE VEHICLE

The renter undertakes to return the vehicle—together with all documents, keys, accessories, and
equipment—in the same condition as received, at the agreed place and time specified in the
Rental Agreement.
If there is a delay exceeding ONE (1) hour beyond the scheduled return time, and no prior notice
or request for extension has been made by the renter, the lessor reserves the right to report the
vehicle as missing or stolen to the relevant authorities.
If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty, or during the night, or in adverse weather conditions
preventing a proper inspection, the final vehicle check will be performed within two (2) business
days after return, once conditions allow for an accurate inspection. The renter remains responsible
for the vehicle until the inspection is completed and the Vehicle Return Form is signed by both
parties.
If the renter refuses to sign the Return Form, or if the vehicle is returned under the abovementioned conditions, the renter shall still be held responsible for any damages or discrepancies
identified during the inspection process.
Returning the vehicle in a different city from the one where it was originally rented is possible only
with the prior written authorization of the lessor. This service, known as “One Way Rental,” is
subject to a transfer fee, the amount of which depends on the pick-up and drop-off locations.
In the event that the vehicle is returned with new damages, the renter must present an official
Police Report describing the incident or accident. Damages not supported by a Police Report will
not be covered by the insurance or Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), and the renter will be fully
liable for such costs.

RETURN OF THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER STATE

Returning the vehicle to a different location from the original pick-up site is only permitted if the
renter has paid for the One-way rental service in advance.
Any unauthorized return to a different location will incur a penalty of €250, in addition to any
other applicable charges for damages, fines, or rental obligations.
The One-way rental fee must be agreed upon and paid before the vehicle is collected, and the
return location must be authorized in writing by the lessor.


ONE-WAY POLICY

Vehicles may be returned to a different location only if the renter has purchased the One
Way Rental service in advance. Unauthorized returns to a different location will be subject
to applicable penalties.


FUEL POLICY

The vehicle is provided with a specified amount of fuel at the start of the rental and must
be returned with the same amount. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided,
the renter will be charged a refueling penalty of €50, in addition to the cost of the missing
fuel.


EXTRAS

Any extras provided with the rental vehicle, such as child seats, GPS navigation devices, or phone
chargers, must be used strictly according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The renter is solely responsible for the correct installation, operation, and use of such equipment.
The lessor assumes no liability for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from improper use of the
additional equipment.
Any damage caused to the vehicle or its systems due to incorrect use of accessories (including
child seats, GPS devices, or phone chargers) will be charged to the renter at the time of vehicle
return.


ROAD ASSISTANCE

In the event of a vehicle malfunction, flat tire, dead battery, or traffic incident:
• Clients with CDW coverage will receive free roadside assistance.
• Clients without CDW coverage (paying via security deposit) will be charged a call-out fee of
€50, plus the cost of any repairs or services required, except in cases where the vehicle has
been involved in a traffic accident and is undriveable


GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS

The rental vehicle may be driven only within the territory of Morocco. Any unauthorized crossing
of borders will incur a penalty of €2,000, in addition to any costs associated with relocating the
vehicle.
If the vehicle cannot be recovered due to unauthorized use or border crossing, the renter’s
information will be submitted to the competent authorities and may be treated as suspected
vehicle theft.


TOLLS AND FINES

The renter is solely responsible for all tolls, traffic fines, or other penalties incurred during the
rental period. These amounts will be charged to the renter upon vehicle return, along with an
administrative surcharge of 10%.


ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS

The renter must report any traffic accident or incident that causes damage to the vehicle or to
third parties to the competent authorities immediately. A police report must be obtained.
No insurance claim will be accepted without a valid police report documenting the incident and
the resulting damages.
