DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
America Car Rental requires the following documentation to provide the service:
• Driving licence.
• Valid ID or Passport
• Minimum age 21 years old and maximum age 75 years old (According to
Nicaraguan law).
• Credit card (The credit card must have the same name as the renter).
In order to rent a vehicle with us, we accept the following methods.
• Cash payment (rental payment),
• Credit card (deposit)
• Debit (rental payment),
• Transfer (rental payment).
We accept the following cards (America Express, MasterCard & Visa)
INSURANCE INFORMATION
Note: Depending on the fare booked your booking may or may not include the following
coverages:
1. LDW (Deductible Damage Waiver Coverage): Reduces liability for payment in the
event of partial or total damage to the rented vehicle by payment of a deductible
(MANDATORY).
2. 1. SLI (Third Party Liability Insurance): Third Party Liability Coverage
(MANDATORY). Valid only in Nicaragua.
• Maximum coverage USD $15,000.
• Deductible: 20%.
3. 1. SLDW (Super Damage Waiver with 0% deductible): Fully waived in case of
collision damage and 80% in case of total theft of the vehicle.
• Third party liability coverage.
• Maximum coverage $15,000.
• Deductible 20%.
Additional covers bumps, scratches, scrapes, dents, damage to keys, antennas, side
and rear windows, door handles, stops, and other damage to the body of the
vehicle.
For this coverage the company will assume a maximum of $500 dollars. If the
amount of the damage exceeds this value, the customer will pay the excess. This
coverage does not cover damage to the interior of the vehicle or partial theft.
4. FC (Full comprehensive protection): Fully exempts in case of collision damage and
80% in case of total theft of the vehicle.
• Third party liability coverage.
• Maximum coverage $15,000.
• Deductible 20%.
Additional coverage covers bumps, scratches, scrapes, dents, damage to keys,
antennas, side and rear windows, door handles, stops, and other damage to the
body of the vehicle.
For this coverage the company will assume a maximum of $500 dollars, if the
amount of damage exceeds this value the customer will pay the excess. This
coverage DOES cover damage to the interior of the vehicle, and partial theft.
24hr roadside assistance coverage at no additional cost.
5. ASV (Roadside Assistance): You will be assisted in the event of an unexpected
difficulty or emergency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If any coverage is not included in your reservation, you may purchase it at the counter
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Only AMEX, VISA and MASTERCARD credit cards are accepted for the security deposit.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation must be made 24 hours prior notice, there is no penalty or additional charge.
RESERVATION POLICY
The customer will have 24 hours grace period for the delivery of the vehicle, if the customer
exceeds this time, we will mark it as NO-SHOW.
REFUND POLICY
For cancellation of rental contract (no refund) with penalty of $300 USD.
MILEAGE
Unlimited mileage for all customers
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Must be 21 years of age or older with a driving licence, the cost is $5.00 USD + tax per day.
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The customer will be given two hours grace period after the return, if the customer goes
over the hour a charge of one day's rental will be made.
ONE WAY/DROP-OFF
For car delivery to a Nicaraguan address, the customer must provide the exact address at
an additional cost of $50.00 USD.
FUEL POLICY
The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel, otherwise additional charges will
apply ($7.00 USD plus tax (VAT) per litre of petrol).
ROAD ASSISTANCE
You will be assisted in the event of an unexpected difficulty or emergency 24 hours a day.
Roadside assistance costs $7.00 USD, if you purchase full cover there is no cost.
GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS
Customers are not allowed to leave Nicaraguan territory.
ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS
Emergency instructions for the client:
1. Call the agency's emergency numbers +505 8734 1504.
2. Staying put and not moving
3. Wait for the arrival of the authorities or agents (in case of a claim/accident).
4. In case of towing there is a charge only if the customer does not carry adequate
insurance (these insurances apply, ASV (Road Assistance), SLDW (Super Damage
Waiver with 0% deductible), FULLCOVER (Full Comprehensive Protection).
In case of breakdown of the car:
1. Call the agency's emergency numbers +505 8734 1504.
2. Stay on site and wait for directions from the agency.
3. In case of car change, there is no towing charge.
Pick up Instructions
We will be waiting for you outside the airport with your name on a sign to take you to the shuttle that will take you to the office and make the rental contract and delivery of the vehicle.
