DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
America Car Rental requires the following documentation to offer the service:
You must present the following at the time of physical pickup:
1. Identification document: Identification from your country of residence and passport,
citizenship card (CC), or foreigner's card (CE).
2. Driver's license: Original and valid.(You must show a driver's license that has been valid for
at least 12 months at the time of rental, regardless of whether it is a national or
international license.)
3. Credit card: With available credit for the security deposit/bond.
4. Payment method for the rental: Cash, debit card, or credit card.
5. Age: Be at least 25 a 80 years old. If you are between 21 and 24 years old, a young driver
surcharge will apply.(EUR20/Day) and 69 and 80 years old, you will have to pay a senior
driver's fee (Eur 15/day)
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash, and American Express credit cards and we don't accept
Discover cards, Diners Club cards, or digital cards.
INSURANCE INFORMATION
Please note that the following insurance policies may or may not be included in the booking:
TPL: Civil liability coverage for property damage and/or personal injury or death of third parties:
"The civil liability of the vehicle owner, usufructuary, purchaser with reservation of ownership, or
lessee under a financial transaction, as well as its legitimate holders and drivers, for damages
caused to third parties due to the circulation of the insured vehicle, up to the limits and under the
conditions legally established;
• Damages caused to third parties, arising from travel accidents intentionally caused or
resulting from theft, robbery, or use. 6.000.000,00 €
CDW: Collision Damage Waiver: It reduces the liability of payment in case of partial or total
damage to the rented vehicle by paying a deducible.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of EUR 150.00 is required. For all other vehicle classes, maybe reduce when
buying CDW to €150.
Security deposit must be paid with CREDIT CARD ONLY(VISA, MASTERCARD, AND AMERICAN
EXPRESS).
The security deposit will be released in full within fifteen (15) business days after the end of the
rental period, provided that no unexpected charges are incurred. Such charges may include, but
are not limited to: damage to the vehicle, traffic fines, returning the vehicle with less fuel than
when it was delivered, or the need for cleaning.
It is important to clarify that the value of the security deposit does not include the cost of renting
the vehicle. It is important to note that the security deposit does not include the cost of the
vehicle rental.
CANCELLATION POLICY
There is no cancellation fee if customers cancel their reservation 48 hours before car delivery.
RESERVATION POLICY
The customer has a one-hour grace period to collect the vehicle. No refund of the amount paid will
be given.
Minimum rental Days 3 days and 120 days máximum.
REFUND POLICY
No refund of the amount paid will be given.
MILEAGE
Unlimited Mileage
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Additional drivers must be between 25 and 68 years old (EUR 10/day) plus tax per driver.
RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The delivery location will be the same as the collection point, except in cases of mutual agreement
with the client. after 1 hour. The fee for each hour of delay is 20 euros per hour.

FUEL POLICY
Return with the same amount granted to avoid refueling charges. If fuel is missing upon return,
you will pay according to current internal rates at the rental counter. Unused fuel is nonrefundable.
EXTRAS
Extras and equipment must be requested from the rental company through a rental agent and will
be charged per day.

ROAD ASSISTANCE
In case of mechanical failure that prevents you from continuing to drive and/or forces you to stop
to avoid

GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS
The Customer can drive the vehicle on the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo. The cost of
permissions is In Madeira, you can transport your rental car on the PORTO SANTO LINE ferry, upon
payment of a fee of €100.00 plus an additional deposit of €2000.00 charged to the main driver's
credit card.
Please note that you must comply with the traffic rules and other road regulations of the country
where you are driving the vehicle.
The rental vehicle cannot be driven on damaged roads or dirt/sand roads.
ACCIDENTS & INCIDENTS
In the event of an accident, you must immediately (i) report this fact to RENTMEMADEIRA. and call
the local police authorities 112 and fill out the Friendly Accident Report form.
