Valentine's Day in NYC!

We are less than a month away from Valentine's Day!  On Wednesday, February 14, 2018 we will be celebrating the infamous Saint Valentine's Day - the day that represents our expression of love and admiration towards our loved ones.  What a fun holiday!  Most people celebrate by going out for romantic dinners,  sending their loved ones chocolates, candies, jewelry and other such gifts.  Decorations include hearts, chocolates, red and pink roses and of course, Cupid.  The latter is a winged figure with a bow and arrow.  According to mythology, Cupid strikes people in the heart so they will fall in love.Where could be more romantic to spend Valentine's Day than in New York City?  There is so much to do with your loved one in the Big Apple... so take some time off, book a flight, rent a cheap car and hotel room and head to this amazing city.  Between visiting museums, taking romantic walks in Central Park, shopping and taking a boat to Ellis Island, you will not be bored.  There are plenty of Valentine's Day parties from which to choose (you just need to look them up online), decadent restaurants in which to eat and fabulous Walking Tours to take with your sweetheart.According to Timeout.com, eating at Eleven Madison Park is a must.  This art deco jewel is one of New York's most progressive eateries.  Their epic menu is cooked by Swiss chef Daniel Humm - an award-winning culinary genius.  There is also Le Bernardin, the city's "original temple" of haute-French seafood.  What could be more romantic than eating here on Valentine's Day?  Other recommended restaurants include Per Se, Jean Georges, Daniel, Bouley, Shuko, Gramercy Tavern and many, many more.  Again, all you have to do is look online, search for NYC restaurants and you'll find many that host Valentine's Day meals.After you've had a great meal, park your cheap car rental at the hotel and take a fabulous walking tour in NYC.  According to Timeout.com, "NYC is one of the easiest cities to navigate on foot, and there's certainly no shortage of interesting sights around every corner, from awesome street art and graffiti to the most haunted places in NYC to beautiful NYC buildings to the most awe-inspiring New York attractions.
