It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 10 days away. The season of beautiful decorative lights, Christmas trees and Santa Clause is quickly approaching. If you are thinking of renting a cheap car and traveling through Canada there are many sights to be seen. Pack up your family, take some friends or join some colleagues and visit some of what Canada has to offer at this brilliant time of year.

Vancouver

Vancouver is a world-renowned city known for its natural beauty. It offers everything from rain forests, sea views and an exciting urban life. But there is no doubt that at Christmas time, this haven is filled with exciting things to do and places to visit. Make sure to bundle everyone up in your cheap car rental and visit Stanley Park. At Christmas time, this fantastic park is converted into a mini north pole with festive train rides and holiday paraphernalia. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is decorated with lights and festive themese while at Grouse Mountain you can visit Santa's House as well as a reindeer farm. Quebec

City Find parking for your cheap car rental and head downtown to the German Christmas Market. The city is filled with countless decorations and lights. Old Quebec is transformed into a Christmas Village much like out of a Charles Dickens' novel. Some other great places to visit include: Rue du Petit-Champlain and Place-Royale; Place de l'Hotel-de-ville' Place D'Yorville; Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac; Grande Allee and the Parliament Building as well as Avenue Cartier.

Ottawa

The capital of Canada is aglow with holiday lights and themed decorations. The Prime Minister himself lights up the government buildings in an 'illumination ceremony' where you can come and admire the festive lights. There are many Christmas Parades in the city in which Santa takes part and hands out gifts to the children. Walk the snow-filled streets ablaze with the Christmas spirit of lights, snow and decorations.

Toronto

Visiting Toronto during Christmas is a MUST! It is home to one of the world's largest Christmas Parades. This parade runs through the entire city and is composted of marching bands, lights, decorations and food kiosks. Make sure to save money on car rental coupons so that you can spend a little extra at the Toronto Christmas Market in the Distillery Historic Distric. Shop at Toronto's Eaton Center, go skating at the Natrel Rink at Harbor Front Center, watch a show and see the The National Ballet of Canada's, "The Nutcracker", go see the Calvalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square and experience Christmas past at the Christmas by Lamplight at Black Creek Pioneer Village.
