Fargo is located in the heart of the Red River Valley in North Dakota, and is the largest metropolitan area between Minnesota and Washington with a population of 90,599. What To Do
While in Fargo, there are many things to see and do, and it is a good idea to have a rental car, so you can get the most out of your visit. The city has a shopping mall spanning 950,000 square feet, which features many major stores such as JCPenney, Marshall Fields and Sears. However, if you are in the mood for arts and entertainment, you have several choices. The Fargo Theater features live pipe organ music and movies you will not see at the local cinema. The Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre offers classic plays, and productions written by local authors. Art enthusiasts can visit the Plains Art Museum. If music is more your style, try one of the special events offered by The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. In the summer, sports fans can enjoy a game of baseball when the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks take the field. Football, wrestling and several other sports are part of the athletics program at North Dakota State University.

Driving Regulations In North Dakota
If you are a visitor in North Dakota over 16 years of age and have a valid driver license from your home state or country, you may drive in this state without getting a North Dakota driver license as long as your home state license remains valid. A fastened seat belt must be worn in all motor vehicles that were factory equipped with seat belts, by the driver, any front passengers, and children between ages of 4 and 17 (or over 40 lbs). Children under 3, must be in a federally approved child seat with a safety harness.

The ticket for exceeding the speed limit by 1-10 MPH is $40, for exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 MPH is $40 plus $1 for each MPH over 10 MPH.

Drinking And Driving Laws In North Dakota
The legal limit is 0.08. If you are charged with driving under the influence you could face registration suspension, and vehicle confiscation. There is also a 91 day license suspension for those that are charged. You are also not allowed to have any open alcoholic containers in the vehicle, this can result in a fine, and other drinking and driving charges.
