Berkeley, California is the college town located in San Francisco Bay. The city is named after an Irish Bishop by the name of George Berkeley. The city is home to 102,743 people, and is ranked number six among medium sized cities in the College Town Index.

The locals are known as Berkeleyites and sometimes as Berserkeleyites. Some famous Berkeleyites include Ben Affleck (actor), Pat Morita (actor), Chick Hafey (baseball player), and Phil Lesh (bass player for the Grateful Dead).

The city was also the filming location for the 1967 movie, "The Graduate" and 1991 movie, "Defending Your Life" as well as the 1990 movie, "Taking Care of Business".

Driving Regulations In California
