Driving Regulations A visitor who is at least 16 years of age, who has in their possession a valid driver's license issued by another state or country, may drive a private vehicle in Alaska. Ketchikan street parking in most areas will allow for 2 hours of metered parking. There are parking lots and parking garages also available in the city, most of which are $5 for all day parking.
