Kansas - Home to Many National Parks

Kansas is bordered by Colorado on the west, Oklahoma to the south, Nebraska on the north and Missouri to the east. A major portion of the state's northeastern boundary is bordered by the Missouri River. There are many National parks and historic sites in Kansas. Some of these include Fort Scott National Historic Site, Santa Fe National Historic Trail, Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site and Fort Lamed National Historic Site. Kansas ranks 8th in oil production in the United States as well as 8th in natural gas production. Finally, the Kansas economy is largely based on the aerospace industry.
