Triangle Rent A Car   Rental Policies
No Show Policy
Reservations are valid and honored for up to two hours after the requested pick up time. If the vehicle is not picked up within two hours of the requested pick up time your reservation status will be changed to a NO SHOW. We ask that you contact Triangle Rent A Car if you need to change the pick up time of your requested vehicle to avoid any problems. Credit and Debit Card Use
The renter must present a credit card or debit card in their name with the appropriate available funds on the card. If a credit card or debit card is presented in someone else's name Triangle Rent A Car will not be able to rent the vehicle to you. This also applies to spouses. This policy is in place to protect the credit card or debit card holder. Extensions of Rental
When your contract is opened, we will ask you the expected return date and time. Once you leave our facility we ask that you contact us if the return date or time needs to be extended. Only the renter is allowed to extend an open contract. Our Rates and How We Charge
Triangle Rent A Car rates may vary from location to location even in the same city and state. Our rates are determined by supply, demand and market conditions. Rates quoted are only guaranteed at the time they are quoted. Our suggestion is to always make your plans early to take advantage of the best possible rate we can offer. Refueling Options
Customer is to return the rented vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was in the tank when rented. Avoid high refueling charges. You may opt to purchase our prepaid fuel option. Visually Impaired: If you have a designated driver that is 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and you meet our pay method requirements there are no additional charges other than the rental fee to get you where you need to go. Contract Violations

The renter is responsible for paying for any and all parking tickets received while the vehicle is on contract. Airport Service
Airport pickup service is limited to the Raleigh/Durham Airport; Piedmont Triad Airport; Charlotte Douglas Airport; Wilmington, NC Airport and Myrtle Beach, SC Airport. Customer must call the location when they arrive informing agent of terminal location. Age Requirements
Minimum Age: 21
Age 21 to 24 - Surcharge of $15.00 applies per day.
Renters between the age of 21 and 24 must have full personal liability and collision coverage that will transfer to the rented vehicle. This coverage must be verified by one of our customer service agents prior to making a reservation. Underage renters are restricted from renting certain models of vehicles. Additional Drivers
additional drivers permitted an additional chargeof $ 10.00 applies per day(per additional driver) Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21 Additional drivers are considered additional renters. Additional renters driver's license must be presented at time of rental. No additional renter may be added to a contract over the telephone. Photo copy or fax copy of a driver's license will NOT be accepted. Fee for additional renter is $10.00 per day. Additional renters must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license. Additional renters under the age of 25 must have personal liability and collision coverage that will transfer to the rented vehicle and must pay a $15.00 per day charge for underage renter. Our unlimited mileage rates are offered for travel East of the Mississippi River only. Travel to Mexico is prohibited. You must contact us via email or phone to receive a quote for travel West of the Mississippi River. Deposit Requirements
Cash deposits are accepted. Renters are required to leave a deposit along with the estimated amount of the rental at time of pickup. Cash, Debit Card and Underage Renters are required call 800-643-7368 for a guaranteed reservation. You may view availability and pricing on line only. Debit card customers 25 years of age or older are required to have personal liability coverage that transfers to the rental vehicle. This coverage must be verified prior to making a reservation. Customers are required to have collision protection on the rented vehicle. Customers may use their personal coverage, have collision coverage added to their personal policy or opt to purchase our collision damage waiver. Cash renters must first be qualified to rent on a cash basis prior to making a reservation. The following requirements must be met and verified: 1. Employment at the same place of business for the last six months. 2. Must present current phone and utility bill to establish residence. 3. Personal liability insurance that will transfer to the rented vehicle. 4. Collision protection on the rented vehicle. Customers may use their personal coverage, have collision coverage added to their personal policy or opt to purchase our collision damage waiver. 5. Checking or savings account in your name. 6. Estimated amount of the rental plus a $150.00 deposit in cash at time of rental. Cash renters should go by the local office to complete a cash application. Vehicle drop-offs between Triangle Rent A Car locations is permitted
Charge: $ 100.0 A $100.00 drop charge will apply when a vehicle is returned to Triangle locations in other cities with the exception of our Box Trucks. The drop fee for our Box Trucks is $250.00.
Insurance Policies and Surcharges
We at Triangle Rent A Car encourage you to contact your insurance carrier and inquire if your personal policy will cover you in a rental vehicle. Make sure you inform your agent the type of vehicle you will be renting and how long you will be renting. It makes a difference.

Triangle Rent A Car does require that all renters have collision protection on the rented vehicle. Customers may use their personal coverage, have collision coverage added to their personal policy, use the collision coverage offered on their credit card or opt to purchase our collision damage waiver. Supplemental liability coverage offered by Triangle Rent A Car may not be purchased to enable a renter to meet a qualifying requirement for liability. It may be purchased as additional coverage after meeting the requirement. Collision Damage Coverage #1 CDW #1 for Compact, Midsize, Full-size, Premium 1, Premium 2 and Sport. Covers damage only to the exterior of the rented vehicle. The collision Damage Coverage offered by Triangle Rent A Car is not insurance. It is an option that relieves the renter of financial responsibility if the vehicle is damaged while on contract. If accepted by the renter and barring any violation of the rental agreements terms and conditions, Triangle agrees to waive its right to collect for damages or losses sustained by the vehicle, loss of use of the vehicle and administrative charges. Collision Damage Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back date and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Underage Fee 21-24 Underage renters are between the ages of 21 and 24. Underage renters must have full personal liability and collision coverage that will transfer to the rented vehicle. This coverage must be verified by one of our customer service agents prior to making a reservation. Supplemental Liability Coverage Supplemental Liability Coverage offers excess automobile liability coverage to renters and all authorized renters of the rental vehicle. This protection is for third party bodily injury and property damage claims. If accepted by the renter and barring any violations of the rental agreements terms, the coverage will pay third party damages up to $1,000,000.00 providing the renter is found to be at fault. Supplemental Liability Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back date and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Collision Damage Coverage #2 CDW #2 for Luxury, Convertible, Cargo Van, Pick-up Trucks, all Suv's, 7, 12 and 15 Passenger Vans. Covers damage only to the exterior of the rented vehicle. The Collision Damage Coverage offered by Triangle Rent A Car is not insurance. It is an option that relieves renters of financial responsibility if the vehicle is damaged while on contract. If accepted by the renter and barring any violation of the rental agreements terms and conditions, Triangle agrees to waive its right to collect for damages for losses sustained by the vehicle, loss of use and administrative fee. Collision Damage Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back date and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Personal Accident Coverage #1 PAI #1 covers Compact, Midsize, Full-size, Premium 1, Premium 2, Sport, PT Cruiser, Luxury, Convertible, Cargo Van, Pick-up Trucks and Stakebed Trucks. Personal Accident Coverage provides both the renter and passengers of the rental vehicle with an accident death benefit and coverage for certain medical expenses resulting from an accident while occupying the rental vehicle. It provides limited coverage of death or bodily injury caused directly by a covered accident barring any violations of the rental agreements terms. Personal Accident Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back date and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Personal Accident Coverage #2 PAI #2 covers all Suv's, 7, 12 and 15 Passenger Vans. Personal Accident Coverage provides both the renter and passengers of the rental vehicle with an accident death benefit and coverage for certain medical expenses resulting from an accident while occupying the rental vehicle. It provides limited coverage of death or bodily injury caused directly by a covered accident barring any violations of the rental agreements terms. Personal Accident Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back date and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Collision Damage Coverage #3 CDW #3 for 15 Foot Box Truck, Stakebed Truck, Dump Truck, F350 Dual Wheel Pickup.
Covers damage only to the exterior of the rented vehicle with the exception of the cargo box on the 15 foot box truck. The Collision Damage Coverage offered by Triangle Rent A Car is not insurance. It is an option that relieves renters of financial responsibility if the vehicle is damaged while on contract. If accepted by the renter and barring any violations of the rental agreements terms and conditions, Triangle agrees to waive its right to collect for damages for losses sustained by the vehicle, loss of use and administrative fee. Collision Damage Coverage is void if the vehicle is not returned by the due back and if the contract is not paid in full at time of return. Insurance and Coverage
