We deliver the cars with a full tank of gasoline and the customer should bring it back the same way, if not there will be a charge of USD $7.50 per 1/8 tank of gas.
All rentals are based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace
period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will
apply from minute one.
It is the policy of Excellent Car Rental to have the confirmed vehicle available for a period of up to two hours after the scheduled arrival time with the exception of any reservations confirmed for pickup within the last hour of operation. For those reservations the vehicle will be held for one hour that day and the first hour of operation the following day. It is the customer's responsibility to notify our reservation center at 1-800-582-7432 or the location directly of any delays prior to the time of arrival. This will ensure that the location continues to hold the vehicle. Failure to do so will result in the release of the vehicle.

All drivers must meet the renting location's minimum age requirements (23 years or older), have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental. See also age, driver's license, driving records, and credit cards.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin.
- Must have a valid passport.
- Must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.
- Excellent requires written proof in English of liability insurance covering injury to third persons or their property and collision and comprehensive insurance covering any Excellent vehicle while on rent. Written proof should include the name and address of the insurer and the policy number.

Vehicle permitted in Costa Rica only. Vehicles are not permitted in rivers and beaches.
