We also accept insurance transfer and most credit card coverage however the renter must provide proof of insurance at the time of the rental.

Charlottetown Airport Drop Fee

Even new, well maintained cars breakdown sometimes. Discount offers no warranty other than that offered by the vehicle’s manufacturer. Many inconveniences and expenses may be alleviated through the purchase of this package.
While renting our vehicle, we want you to enjoy worry free motoring. Should you have a problem with the rental vehicle, we will make every effort to be of assistance. However, it is still possible that your problems may incur costs, you may have issues outside of business hours, or issues out of town. In these cases, you will likely require local help in getting on your way.
In the event that you experience one of the automotive misfortunes listed below, you will be reimbursed up to $1000 (total) for expenses incurred (please provide receipts) to continue your journey as follows:
The cost of repairs (mechanical, not related to a collision) not covered under warranty.
The cost of a replacement rental vehicle from a local Discount Car & Truck Rentals location (not to exceed the amount of time the original car is not drive-able).
The cost of a motel room if you get stranded (not to exceed the amount of time to locate a replacement vehicle and/or the amount of time the original car is not drive-able, whichever is shorter)
The cost of a taxi, not to exceed $100.00
General roadside assistance: Key-locked out service, Cold weather starts, Delivery of gasoline, Towing of the vehicle, Mechanical first aid, Battery services, Changing of tire.
GPS

GPS units are available at $6.95/day. Including GPS in an online reservation should be considered a request as these unit are available on a first come, first served basis
Fuel Pre-Purchase Option (price determined at the rental counter)

A full tank of fuel can be pre-purchased at the rental counter at the time of rental at $0.08 off the current street price of self-serve regular. Selecting this option allows the client to forgo the hassle of refueling before returning the rental car. Selecting this option on an on-line reservation should be considered an intention to purchase as the actual price depends on market conditions at the time of rental.
