U-Save Auto Rental - Santa Barbara Policies & Insurance

Discounts are available for the following at the time of rental: 10% off listed rates for Travel Agents/Professionals, Airline employees, AARP and Autoclub members.

Unlimited mileage is restricted to the state of California. If taken outside the state, a mileage cap of 150 miles/day will apply with $.20/mile for each additional mile. Out of state driving may be permitted only with manager approval and mileage restrictions will apply. Unlimited mileage out of state driving may be available for a higher daily rate.

All vehicles must be returned full the same as rented to avoid a refueling charge of $4.00 USD/gallon.

Liability insurance is not required by state law.

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is an optional coverage available for: economy, compact, intermediate, standard and fullsize - $9.00 USD/day and responsible for $0 deductible; convertible or minivan - $11.00 USD/day and responsible for $0 deductible. If CDW is not purchased, the client will be responsible for the full value of the vehicle.

Rates are guaranteed 365 days from booking date

Vehicles will be held for a maximum of 1 hour past the booked arrival time. If you may be arriving later, please contact the rental location directly to make arrangements.

Deposits are not required at this time.

Renter and additional drivers must be between 21 and 99 years of age with a valid drivers license and major credit card in own name.

No underage surcharge applies

Cash rentals are accepted for local Santa Barbara residents only with job and phone verification.

Major credit cards are accepted (American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, Carte Blanche, Discover, Visa).

Personal checks are accepted with a credit card.

48 hours advanced cancellation is required. Cancellation charges of a minimum of $100 USD will apply for specialty vehicles, convertibles or minivans if 48 hours advance cancellation is not received.

All valid drivers licenses are accepted.

No additional driver fee at this time.

Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the renter.

After hours drop offs are permitted to the rental location and airport. Parking fees will apply. To drop the car at the location, park the car in the parking lot across the street from the location and leave the key in the drop box. To leave the car at the airport park the car in the short term parking lot, place keys in the glove box and call location to notify of the vehicle placement.

Courtesy shuttle is available during regular business hours. The shuttle is immediately dispatched once the renter calls the location during regular business hours. The location is 3/4 mile from the airport (approximately 5 minutes)

AFTER HOUR PICKUPS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. ***AFTER HOUR DROPS** AFTER HOUR DROPS MAY BE AVAILABLE - MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH LOCATION. LOCATION IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS. IF YOU DROP OFF A VEHICLE DURING A SUNDAY OR HOLIDAY, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RENTAL CHARGE FOR THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
