Additional drivers are allowed at most locations and there may be an additional fee if state law permits. They must meet the minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and credit card in his/her own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply.

No charge for additional authorized drivers.

Renter must be 25 years of age with a valid drivers license and a major credit card in his/her own name.

Renters 18 through 20 years of age with a valid drivers license and a major credit card in his/hr own name - add an additional $30.00 per day surcharge. Underage surcharge will not appear in total pricing.

Renters 21 through 24 years of age with a valid drivers license and a major credit card in his/her own name - add an additional $20.00 per day surcharge. Underage surcharge will not appear in total pricing.

CDW $ 9.00 per day , Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, Full Size cars.

CDW $ 15.00 per day - Convertible, Specialty , SUV and Vans.

If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle.

If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent.In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver.

CDW is optional. Your personal auto policy may cover damage to the rented vehicle. Check with your insurer if you are uncertain.

Debit Cards: Accepted

Eligible debit cards must have the Visa, Mastercard or Discover logo. Stored value / prepaid / gift cards are not acceptable to qualify for rental.

The estimated amount of the rental plus an additional amount of $1,000.00 will be assessed against your debit card at the time of rental. These funds will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

Debit cards are accepted for payment at the end of rental.

All vehicles are rented with a full tank.

OPTION #1 BUY A TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental, bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION #2 WE FILL THE TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon.

Use of the vehicle is restricted to Southern California including the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura and travel to and from Las Vegas, Nevada. Violation of the restriction will result in a mileage charge of .50 cents for each mile driven for the duration of your rental.

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available during normal business hours for the calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury you cause to third persons or their property. Liability insurance does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle. State and Country laws determine whether your personal auto liability insurance or our liability insurance will pay for injuries you cause to others while driving our vehicle.

Renters Liability Insurance Protection: (RLI) $13.99 per day; if you wish to purchase an optional liability that will provide primary coverage, you may purchase Renter Liability Protection (RLP) which provides primary coverage for liability losses up to the California statutory minimum.

Vouchers: Not Accepted

PAC/PAI - $6.00 per day.Personal Accident Coverage/Personal Accident Insurance: By electing to purchase optional PAC/PAI coverage at the designated daily rate, the renter and any of his/her passengers are insured while occupying the rental vehicle subject to all provisions of the group policy.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC):$2.45 per day. PEC provides limited protection for loss or damage to covered personal effects while such personal effects are in transit or in any hotel or other building en route during the rental period. Coverage applies to the customer and members of the customer's immediate family who permanently reside in the customer's household and are traveling with the renter.

All drivers must meet the renting location's minimum age requirements, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental. See also age, driver's license, driving records, and credit cards.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin.
- Must have a valid passport
- Must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.

Roadside Assistance Program, October 1, 2008
If you purchase our Roadside Service Plan (RSP) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $125.00, per incident. You may purchase RSP at $1.95 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply; ask for a copy of an RSP brochure at the rental counter.

San Diego International Airport

Shuttle service is provided to and from the airport. Upon your arrival, please call the location for pick up. The courtesy phone is located in the baggage claim area.

DISABLED DRIVERS - **Reservations to request disability equipment should be placed only by calling 1-800-PAYLESS**

Hand controls are provided at no additional charge however availability of special equipment must be verified before the reservation can be confirmed. If you require special equipment to operate the vehicle, please contact us at 1-800-PAYLESS. We will process your request and send a confirmation response within 72 hours after verifying availability with the renting location.

AUTHORIZED DRIVERS FOR VISUAL IMPAIRED RENTERS

A traveling companion who will serve as a driver for a disabled renter will be authorized at no additional charge. Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Please advise the Payless representative of the companion driver at the time of rental. Both must be present at the time of the transaction
