Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):

If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver, you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle.

If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. Please read the back of the Payless Rental Agreement for a complete list of exclusions.

CDW is optional; your personal auto policy may cover damage to the rented vehicle. Check with your insurer if you are uncertain.

Debit Cards are Accepted.
The estimated amount of the rental plus an additional amount of $250.00 will be assessed against your debit card at the time of rental. These funds will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

Our office is located in the Hawthorns suites Hotel 321 Bercut Drive Suite 1104 in Downtown Sacramento. From the Airport stay on I 5 south 8 miles, take the Richards Blvd exit, make a left on the light, go two lights and make another left on Bercut drive. we are located on the right hand side past the Chevron Gas Station.
From I 80 East or West and HWY 50, take the I 5 exit and follow the directions above. and follow above

Fuel Policies/Refueling Charges
OPTION #1 BUY A TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental, bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION #2 WE FILL THE TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon.

Use of the vehicle is restricted to CA, NV, OR, WA, AZ. Violation of the restriction will result in a mileage charge of .25 cents for each mile driven during the duration of your rental.

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available during normal business hours for the calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury you cause to third persons or their property. Liability insurance does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle. State and Country laws determine whether your personal auto liability insurance or our liability insurance will pay for injuries you cause to others while driving our vehicle.


Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLIA)
You can purchase Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLIA) at $11.99 per rental day. If you do, your liability coverage increases to as much as $1 million combined single limit for each accident. This coverage greatly expands your liability protection, perhaps even beyond your own personal auto policy. Restrictions apply; ask for a copy of an SLIA brochure at the rental counter.

One Way Rentals are not offered at this time.

Credit Card Hold:
The estimated amount of the rental plus a minimum of $200 will be authorized against your credit card at the time of rental.

Cash Rentals:
Must call location directly.

Debit Cards:

PAC/PAI - $5.00 per day.

Personal Accident Insurance: PAI provides certain life and medical benefits in the event of an accidental death and/or injury occurring during the rental. PAI coverage extends to the customer for the duration of the rental and to all passengers while entering, exiting and occupying the car.


Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) - $5.00 per day.

PEC provides coverage for actual cash value of personal property which the renter is traveling with against loss or damage. When the renter has shown acceptance on the rental agreement, the renter and renter’s immediate family are insured for the period of rental, subject to all provisions of the group policy. PEC cost may very by location.

All drivers must meet the renting location's minimum age requirements, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental. See also age, driver's license, driving records, and credit cards.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin.
- Must have a valid pasport
- Must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.
- Payless requires written proof in English of liability insurance covering injury to third persons or their property and collision and comprehensive insurance covering any Payless vehicle while on rent. Written proof should include the name and address of the insurer and the policy number

Roadside Assistance Program, October 1, 2008
If you purchase our Roadside Service Plan (RSP) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $125.00, per incident. You may purchase RSP at $2.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply; ask for a copy of an RSP brochure at the rental counter.

Sacramento International Airport

Payless Car Rental is located in the Hawthorne Suites Hotel, please call the rental location when you arrive. After claiming your luggage proceed outside to the center island and take the white Rental Car Shuttle Bus to the rental car facility. The Payless Shuttle Bus will be waiting for you at the front of the rental car facility.

Child Seat Infant / Toddler $5.00 per day.
GPS - $10.00 per day

DISABLED DRIVERS - **Reservations to request disability equipment should be placed only by calling 1-800-PAYLESS**

Hand controls are provided at no additional charge however availability of special equipment must be verified before the reservation can be confirmed. If you require special equipment to operate the vehicle, please contact us at 1-800-PAYLESS. We will process your request and send a confirmation response within 72 hours after verifying availability with the renting location.

AUTHORIZED DRIVERS FOR VISUAL IMPAIRED RENTERS

A traveling companion who will serve as a driver for a disabled renter will be authorized at no additional charge. Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Please advise the Payless representative of the companion driver at the time of rental. Both must be present at the time of the transaction
