Additional drivers are allowed at most locations and there may be an additional fee is state laws permitts. Additional Drivers must meet the minimum age requirements, present a valid driver's license and credit card. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply to the additional driver.

Additional Driver Surcharge: $5.00 per day.

Renter must be 25 years of age with a valid photo drivers license and major credit card in his/her own name.

Ages 21 - 24 add $4.00 per day.

Collision Damage Waiver/Responsibility for Vehicle Damage:

If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver, you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle.

If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. Please read the back of the Payless Rental Agreement for a complete list of exclusions.

CDW Cost:
$25 per day for all car types, with a collision deductible in the amount of 10% of the full value of the rental vehicle and a theft deductible in the amount of 20% of the full value of the rental vehicle.

DDW Cost:
$38 per day for all car types.
The DDW carries a 0% collision deductible, and a 0% theft deductible.

OPTION #1 BUY A TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental, bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION #2 WE FILL THE TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon.

Use of the vehicle is restricted to the country of Mexico. Violation of the restriction will result in a mileage charge of .48 cents for each mile driven during the duration of your rental.

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available during normal business hours for the calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Liability insurance protects you against claims for injury or damage you cause to third persons or their property. It does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle.

Property damage/public liability is included in accordance with insurance laws of country and covers up to MXN 25,000.00 in basic third party liability protection. Theft, vandalism or damage to parts and accessories are not covered.

Optional supplemental liability insurance (SLI) is available for purchase at a rate of $39.00 USD per day. It is a protection which extends the coverage of legal liability up to a maximum of MXN 750,000.00.

If declining the SLI, an additional credit card approval of $5000.00 USD will be required in addition to the estimated total for the rental.

Local rentals must meet our minimum requirements; present a valid photo drivers License and credit card in his/her name and proof of transferable insurance.

Credit Card Hold:
The estimated amount of the rental plus 15% or a minimum of $250.00 will be authorized against your credit card at the time of rental.


Cash Rentals:
Must contact the location directly for cash qualification in lieu of a credit card.

Debit Cards:
The estimated amount of the rental plus an additional amount of $250.00 will be assessed against your debit card at the time of rental. These funds will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

All drivers must meet the renting location's minimum age requirements, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental. See also age, driver's license, driving records, and credit cards.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY OF MEXICO:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin or a valid international drivers license..
- Must have a valid passport.
- At this location, Payless requires written proof of Mexican liability insurance covering injury to third persons or their property and collision and comprehensive insurance covering any Payless vehicle while on rent. Written proof should include the name and address of the insurer and the policy number
