Additional drivers must meet the minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and credit card in his/her own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply

.Renter must be 25 years of age with a valid photo driver's license and a major credit card in his/her own name.
Ages 21-24 add an additional $14.00 per day surcharge all car types.
Underage surcharge will not appear in total pricing.

CDW-
$ 9 per day for Mini, Economy, Compact, and Intermediate cars.
$15 per day for Standard, Fullsize, Premium, Luxury and Convertible Cars, Vans and SUV's

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for collision damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. Please read the back of the Payless Rental Agreement for a complete list of exclusions.

CDW is optional; your personal auto policy may or may not cover damage to the rented vehicle. Check with your insurer if you are uncertain.

Debit Card Policy

Debit cards are accepted from individuals who meet all standard rental qualifications plus the following:

The renter's drivers license and debit card must be in the same name. The renter must present a return airline ticket (actual or electronic) at the time of rental. Eligible debit cards must have the Visa or MasterCard Logo.

Debit cards are not accepted at the time of rental for car classes; Standard Convertible, Full SIze SUV, Premium, Luxury and Elite luxury.

The estimated amount of the rental plus an additional amount of $400.00 will be assessed against your debit card at the time of rental. These funds will no longer be available for your immediate use. Unused funds due to you upon return of the vehicle may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

OPTION 1 BUY A TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental, bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION 2 WE FILL THE TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon.

Travel permitted within California, Nevada, and Arizona with unlimited mileage. Vehicles may not leave these 3 states.

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available during normal business hours for the calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Liability Insurance:

Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury you cause to third persons or their property. Liability insurance does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle. State and Country laws determine whether your personal auto liability insurance or our liability insurance will pay for injuries you cause to others while driving our vehicle.

Renter's Liability Insurance Protection: (RLI) $12.99 per day. If you do not have liability insurance, or if you want to purchase an optional liability policy that will pay a loss before your own insurance company, you may purchase Renter Liability Insurance (RLI) which provides primary coverage for liability losses up to the California statutory minimum.

Supplemental Liability Insurance Protection: (SLI) $11.99 per day; provides supplemental liability coverage to $1million.

These products may be purchased at your option. Neither is a requirement for the rental of a Vehicle

CREDIT CARD QUALIFICATION
The credit card and valid drivers' license must be in the same name.

CREDIT CARD HOLD:
The estimated amount of the rental or a minimum of $150.00, whichever is greater, will be charged against your credit card at the time of rental. Unused funds, if any, will be returned by the credit card processer. It may take 2-5 days for the credit to appear on your account.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI/PAC):

By purchasing optional PAI/PAC, you and your passengers are insured against
bodily injury, some medical payments and accidental death while occupying
the rental vehicle, subject to all the terms, provisions, and exclusions of
a group policy. PAC/PAI costs vary by Payless location.

Personal Effects Coverage (PEC):

PEC provides coverage up to actual cash value for the loss of personal
property in your possession during the rental period, subject to the
provisions, terms and exclusions of a group policy. PEC costs vary by
Payless location.

All drivers must meet the renting location's minimum age requirements, have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental. See also age, driver's license, driving records, and credit cards.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin.
- Must have a valid passport.
- Must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.

EARLY OR LATE RETURNS
The confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. The rate is subject to a daily surcharge if you return the vehicle before or after the due date or to a different office.

Roadside Assistance Program, October 1, 2008
If you purchase our Roadside Service Plan RSP we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $400.00 per incident. You may purchase RSP at $2.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply; ask for a copy of an RSP brochure at the rental counter.

John Wayne Airport

Shuttle service provided to and from the airport. Upon arrival go to the baggage claim area. Call Payless using the courtesy phone located at the Transportation Board. Then proceed across the street to the Ground Transportation Center. Look for the sign which reads Courtesy Shuttle Pickup. The Payless Shuttle will take you directly to the Payless office, which is located just outside the airport.

Car Seat Infant - $8.99 per day
Car Seat Toddler - $8.99 per day

GPS units available for rent at $11.49 per day. Please ask for details at
time of rental.

DISABLED DRIVERS - **Reservations to request disability equipment should be placed only by calling 1-800-PAYLESS**

Hand controls are provided at no additional charge however availability of special equipment must be verified before the reservation can be confirmed. If you require special equipment to operate the vehicle, please contact us at 1-800-PAYLESS. We will process your request and send a confirmation response within 72 hours after verifying availability with the renting location.

AUTHORIZED DRIVERS FOR VISUAL IMPAIRED RENTERS

A traveling companion who will serve as a driver for a disabled renter will be authorized at no additional charge. Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Please advise the Payless representative of the companion driver at the time of rental. Both must be present at the time of the transaction
