Additional / authorized drivers are permitted if they meet the renting requirements. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply to the additional authorized driver.

The additional driver surcharge (including spouse) is EU 8 per day.

After hours, please return the vehicle to the TERMINAL 2 MULTI-LEVEL parking area at the Dublin Airport and deposit the keys in the drop box at the Payless Car Rental desk located in the arrival level.

Drivers License: Renters/Drivers must be in possession of a full unendorsed driving license and be driving on a regular basis for 2 years prior to the commencement of rental. Licenses must be produced in person at the time of collection.

Renters/drivers with a UK photo card driving license must have the 2 parts of their current driving license in their possession at time of rental. We cannot rent to UK clients who arrive with only a portion of their license.

Renters/drivers must be 21 years of age. Renters/drivers age 21-25 add a surcharge of EU 40.00 per day. Renter/driver must be at least 28 years of age to rent; Full Size or Luxury Size Cars, Station Wagons and Vans.

Collision damage waiver in Ireland is referred to as CDI (collision damage insurance). If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver / CDI you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle. If CDI is declined, a deposit of EU 2,000.00 will be required and any and all damage must be paid for prior to departure.

Most credit cards do not offer collision coverage in the Republic of Ireland. A letter of authorization from the credit card company MUST be presented at time of rental in order to waive the CDI coverage. Theft insurance is not included. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to determine coverage and present proof upon rental. An administration fee of EU 25.00 will apply for our verification of your written proof. If proof of coverage is insufficient, the renter will be charged for CDI. Vehicles will not be rented without insurance.

If you purchase CDI we will waive a portion of our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of
your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We
will not waive our right to collect for theft of the vehicle or tire and windshield damage: these are covered under separate optional policies.

COLLISION DAMAGE INSURANCE (CDI) is available at a cost of EU 16.00 per day and reduces your liability to EU 1,000.00 for manual transmission Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate vehicles.
COLLISION DAMAGE INSURANCE (CDI) is available at a cost of EU 19.00 per day and reduces your liability to EU 1,000.00 for automatic transmission Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate vehicles as well as station wagons.
COLLISION DAMAGE INSURANCE (CDI) is available at a cost of EU 22.00 per day and reduces your liability to EU 1,500.00 for Standard, Full Size, Luxury, Vans and SUV vehicles.

Option #1 BUY A TANK

Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental; bring the vehicle back with fuel at ANY level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION # 2 WE FILL THE TANK

Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles/kilometers driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon or litre.

Vehicles must remain on the island of Ireland (including Northern Ireland).
Payless does not charge additional fees for cross boarder driving between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, a daily rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available for calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Incidental Insurance covers TIRE & WINDSHIELD damage. It is available at a cost of EU 8.00 per day for all vehicles and relieves you of responsibility for tire or windshield damage.

Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury you cause to third persons or their property. Liability insurance does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle. State and Country laws determine whether your personal auto liability insurance or our liability insurance will pay for injuries you cause to others while driving our vehicle. At this location third party liability insurance is included in the daily rental rate.

Optional Supplemental Liability Insurance is 12.00EUR per day. The purchase of SLI will reduce the renter's responsibility. Complete details will be provided at the time of rental.

One-Way Rentals are subject to a 3 day minimum rental charge. This applies to rentals picked up and dropped off between Dublin, Shannon, Belfast, Cork and Kerry.

One-way rentals are permitted between Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport, Cork Airport and Kerry Airport at no charge.

One-way rentals are permitted between Dublin Airport, Shannon Airport, Cork Airport, Kerry Airport and Belfast Airport (Northern Ireland) at a charge of EU 100.00.

Renter must use a major credit card at the time of rental in their own name.

The estimated amount of the rental will be billed to your credit or debit card at the time of rental. In addition a deposit of up to EU 3,000 may be required at the time of rental.

Debit cardholders must purchase Collision Deductible Insuance (CDI).

Personal Accident Coverage / Personal Accident Insurance

By electing to purchase optional PAC/PAI coverage at the designated daily rate, the driver is insured for injury or death up to EU 12,500 while occupying the rental vehicle.

PAC/PAI may be purchased for EU 6.50 per day

Driving is on the left side of the road. Vehicles may be driven from Ireland into Northern Ireland. No other out of country driving is permitted.

Vehicles will be provided with a full tank of fuel/gas and should be returned empty.

Renter must present valid driver license & major credit card in own name at time of rental. Renter must have held drivers license for minimum of 2 years. An International Drivers Permit must accompany any license that is not in English.

Location DOES NOT accept Travel Guard Insurance.

Dublin Airport

Payless is located in both terminals at Dublin Airport. Proceed to the Payless counter in the Main Car Rental Area of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 for rental and shuttle service. Vehicles are parked at the Airport and the shuttle operates every 5 minutes.

Forward facing baby seats are available for children from 9-18 kg and are available for a charge of EUR 40.00 per rental.
Booster seats for older children up to 30kg are also available at a charge of EUR 40 per rental.

SUPER DAMAGE WAIVER - When optional SUPER DAMAGE WAIVER (SDW) is purchased in addition to CDI and INCIDENTAL INSURANCE your liability for all damage is reduced to EU 100.00 for all vehicles.

SUPER DAMAGE WAIVER is available at a cost of EU 14.00 per day and reduces your liability for damage to EU 100.00 for Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate vehicles.

SUPER DAMAGE WAIVER is available at a cost of EU 18.00 per day and reduces your liability for damage to EU 100.00 for Standard, Full Size, Luxury, Vans, and SUV vehicles.

VAT: 13.5%
Airport Service Charge: EU 25.00 per rental.

THEFT PROTECTION COVERAGE - is available at a cost of EU 8.00 per day and reduces your liability against theft to EU 1,000.00 for Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate vehicles.

THEFT PROTECTION COVERAGE - is available at a cost of EU 8.00 per day and reduces your liability against theft to EU 1,500.00 for Standard, Full Size, Luxury, Vans and SUV vehicles.
