Payless Car Rental Policies & Insurance

All drivers must meet our minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and credit card in his/her own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply.

Additional driver fee: $ 10.00 per day per additional driver.

Spouse/domestic partner: No charge

Renter must be 25 years of age with a valid drivers license and a major credit card in his/her own name.

Renters 21 through 24 years of age with a valid drivers license and a major credit in his/her own name - add an additional $25.00 per day surcharge. Underage Surcharge will not appear in total pricing. Exception: Premium Suv(Chevy Suburban or similar) - - renter must be 25 years of age.

If you do not purchase Collision Damage Waiver, you are responsible for all damage to the rented vehicle.

If you purchase Collision Damage Waiver, we will waive all, or a portion of, our right to collect from you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by collision or upset. The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition there are other exclusions from Collision Damage Waiver. Please read the back of the Payless Rental Agreement for a complete list of exclusions.

CDW is optional; your personal auto policy may cover damage to the rented vehicle. Check with your insurer if you are uncertain.

We can elect not to rent to you if you do not present proof of auto liability and physical damage insurance coverage.

The estimated amount of the rental plus an additional amount of $250.00 will be assessed against your debit card at the time of rental. These funds will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

OPTION #1 BUY A TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of rental, bring the vehicle back with fuel at any level. Credit will not be issued for unused fuel.

OPTION #2 WE FILL THE TANK
Vehicle is rented with a full tank. Bring the vehicle back full to avoid a charge or Payless will refuel your vehicle based on the miles driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per gallon.

Use of the vehicle is restricted to the state of Colorado and contiguous states only. Violation of the restriction will result in a mileage charge of .25 cents for each mile driven during the duration of your rental.

VEHICLES MAY NOT BE OPERATED ON ROADWAYS OTHER THAN HARD SURFACE, REGULARLY MAINTAINED OR IMPROVED ROADS

Rental is based on a 24-hour period. The client receives a 59-minute grace period. If he/she keeps the vehicle after this time, an hourly rate will apply from minute one.

It is the policy of Payless to have the confirmed vehicle available during normal business hours for the calendar day of the scheduled arrival.

Liability Insurance protects you against claims for injury you cause to third persons or their property. Liability insurance does not cover injury to you or damage to the rented vehicle. State and Country laws determine whether your personal auto liability insurance or our liability insurance will pay for injuries you cause to others while driving our vehicle.

Local renters must show proof of auto liability and physical damage
insurance coverage. Proof should include the name and address of the insurer
and the policy number. We can elect not to rent to you if you do not
present the required proof of insurance coverage.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) You can purchase Supplemental
Liability Insurance (SLI) at $12.99 per rental day. If you do, your
liability coverage increases to as much as $1million combined single limit
for each accident. This coverage greatly expands your liability protection,
perhaps even beyond your own personal auto policy. Restrictions apply, ask
for a copy of an SLI brochure at the rental counter.

In addition to all other policies, Local Renters must fill out an information form, provide proof of residency such as a current utility bill, and proof of current transferable auto insurance. All documentation must match the address on the drivers license. A $350.00 security deposit is required in addition to the estimated rental charges up front.

Must return to renting location.

PAI/PEC - $7.00 per day
Personal Accident Coverage/Personal Accident Insurance: By electing to purchase optional PAI coverage at the designated daily rate, the renter and any of his passengers are insured while occupying the rental vehicle subject to all provisions of the group policy. PAI cost may vary by location.
Personal Effects Coverage: PEC provides coverage for actual cash value of personal property which the renter is traveling with against loss or damage. When the renter has shown acceptance on the rental agreement, the renter and renter's immediate family are insured for the period of rental, subject to all provisions of the group policy. PEC cost may vary by location.

Use of snow chains or bike racks voids any coverage and is strictly prohibited. Contact location for Colorado Chain Law restrictions.

Payless reserves the right to require a credit card to guarantee multiple or group bookings.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR RENTERS FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
- Must have a valid drivers license from renters/drivers country of origin.
- Must have a valid passport
- Must have a valid international drivers license if the drivers license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.
- Payless requires written proof in English of liability insurance covering injury to third persons or their property and collision and comprehensive insurance covering any Payless vehicle while on rent. Written proof should include the name and address of the insurer and the policy number

LOCAL RENTER RESTRICTIONS:
In addition to all other policies, Local Renters must fill out an information form, provide proof of residency such as a utility bill, and proof of current transferable auto insurance. All documentation must match the address on the drivers license. A $350.00 security deposit is required in addition to the estimated rental charges up front.

Roadside Assistance Program, October 1, 2008
If you purchase our Roadside Service Plan (RSP) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $125.00, per incident. You may purchase RSP at $2.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply; ask for a copy of an RSP brochure at the rental counter.

Call for pick up from the direct line phone at the rental counter in the terminal, then proceed outside to shuttle on island #4.

DISABLED DRIVERS - **Reservations to request disability equipment should be
placed only by calling 1-800-PAYLESS**

Hand controls are provided at no additional charge however availability of
special equipment must be verified before the reservation can be confirmed.
If you require special equipment to operate the vehicle, please contact us
at 1-800-PAYLESS. We will process your request and send a confirmation
response within 72 hours after verifying availability with the renting
location.

AUTHORIZED DRIVERS FOR VISUAL IMPAIRED RENTERS

A traveling companion who will serve as a driver for a visually impaired renter will be authorized at no additional charge. Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Please advise the Payless representative of the companion driver at the time of rental. Both must be present at the time of the transaction.

Official US Government rentals: GARS fee of $5.00 per day applies.

Toll roads in Colorado are no longer manned to accept cash as payment. Your rental vehicle is equipped with the ability to pay for tolls electronically. Tolls you incure will be billed as a seperate item on your credit card statement as "Rental Car Tolls". Charge for this service is $2.95 per day or $14.75 per week for your rental period plus the non-discounted toll charges published by the toll authority while in possession of this vehicle.
