NU Car Rentals - Thailand Policies & Insurance

NU Car Rental service is provided in cooperation with THAI Rent A Car. Upon arrival, please proceed to our rental counter located in the Arrival Hall of the airport. If you provided us with your flight details, an agent will also be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name. Should you need to contact us please call 66.87 and we will be happy to assist you. Your vehicle will be kept for up to 2 hours past the arrival time stated on your reservation. IMPORTANT, please take the time to read our policy for all detailed information on renting with us. Collision/Loss Damage Waiver cost is: 200 Bhat/per day on the Ecar and Ccar. 400 Bhat/per day on the Fcar and Ifar. Renter's responsibility is 3,000 THB. If CDW is not purchased, renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle, which is 100,000 THB for the Ecar/Ccar & 200,000 THB for the Fcar/Ifar Collision damage waiver is included in net rates. CDW provides comprehensive coverage to the renter for own vehicle damage as well as liability protection against third party injury, death or vehicle and property damage. Liability for bodily injury or death of any third person, including passengers, caused by accident is covered up to 2 million Bhat per person or not to exceed 10 million Bhat per accident. All claims shall be determined by the courts in the Kingdom of Thailand. this coverage limits the renter's responsibility to a maximum of 3,000 Baht in the event of loss or damage to the rented vehicle where recovery cannot be made from a third party, subject to the renter's compliance with the Rental Agreement. In other words, the maximum exposure that a renter will have in the event of non recoverable loss or damage is 3,000 Bhat, providing the details Use Restrictions at item of the rental agreement are not contravened. If Use Restrictions are contravened, the LDW is void. Additional Supplemental Liability Insurance(SLI) may be obtained for 200 Bhat per day. This option reduces the 3,000 Bhat to nil and is optional. If there is tire and glass damage, customer will be charged 1,000 THB/damage. Personal Accident Insurance costs 200 Bhat/day and comes included in all of the published rates. In the event of accidental death or bodily injury during the duration of the rental, PAI will protect you. Your passengers will also be covered, but only while entering, occupying, or leaving the rental car. PAI Benefit: 10,000,000 Bhat per accident 1,000,000 Bhat loss of life 200,000 Bhat medical expenses including ambulance PAI becomes inapplicable if renter has violated terms of the rental agreement, intentionally injured one's self in the course of being intoxicated or under the influence of any narcotic. LDW and PAI are not mandatory. However, if the client chooses not to purchase LDW/PAI, then they will be responsible for any and all damages to the vehicle. Also, Thai RAC will request a pre-authorized amount of 5,000 THB as a security deposit. This amount will be released in full upon return of the vehicle and provided it has a full tank of fuel and there is no damage or loss to the vehicle.

Rental cars are provided with a full tank of a gas. Fuel may not be pre-purchased and will be charged for amount of fuel missing.

A "Rent Here-Leave There" service is available between Thai Rent A Car's locations in Thailand on all listed vehicle types. A minimum of three (3) day rental is required or a 1,000 Baht one way fee will be charged on this program.

No cross border travel allowed.

All drivers must possess a major credit card in his or her name, hold a current, non-probationary license from their country of residence (with an English translation), or an international driver's permit in conjunction with a valid license. License & valid passport must be carried at all times in Thailand. Minimum age is 21. There is no charge for additional drivers, but they must meet all rental requirements and have their names entered on the rental agreement at the time of the rental.

At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation requires a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at least 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any cancellation fee. This fee compensates us for our inability to rent the vehicle while it was reserved for your use. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source.

The following credit cards are accepted for payment: American Express, Master Card, Visa & Diners Club. Renter must provide one of the above in their own name. All payments are to settled at the beginning of the rental. A security deposit of 5,000 THB will be held upon the renter's credit card upon arrival. Debit cards and personal checks are not accepted. Cash rentals are accepted as payment upon return of the vehicle. Renter must still provide one of the above credit cards for the deposit. If an acceptable credit card is not presented for payment, cash security deposits will be required and CDW/LDW will be mandatory. Renter will need to qualify at counter upon arrival.

All quoted rates are in US Dollars and payments will taken in the local currency. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns.
